Enjoy a stylish experience in Scotland’s National Book Town. The Bookend Cottage provides the perfect base to explore the many book shops, nearby beaches and coastal walks. With beautiful furnishings and bedding, you can relax and unwind in this special cottage. Pop the wood burner on and enjoy reading a book, sit in the walled courtyard with a fresh morning coffee listening to the birdsong, maybe you’d prefer the wood fired hot tub, or popping a record on the player - so many options to relax!

The Duck House Bothy

Experience rural Galloway in South West Scotland by staying in this carefully restored stone farm building nestled under an ancient sycamore tree. Enjoy the living area constructed from oak beams, sit and relax by the Jotul log stove, and watch a film on the smart TV after a day of walking, cycling or exploring the nearby beaches, hills and forests. Retreat to the mezzanine sleeping area, accessed by traditional bothy stairs. Between May and September farm tours are available by arrangement.

The Haven, unique cottage with hot tub!

The Haven, Bladnoch is a listed property. Refurbished in 2020, it has a modern interior but maintains a cottage feel. Sleeps 4 guests. Cosy up in front of the wood burner or sink into the deep bath after a day exploring the beautiful area. There is a cottage garden with balcony, patio, seating area and wood fired hot tub with retractable roof- so it can be enjoyed whatever the weather! Pub and whiskey distillery at the end of the street and less than 1 mile to Wigtown, The Scottish Booktown.

Shore Escape

Shore Escape is a self-catering, coastal, family-run, handcrafted retreat with sea views and a stones throw from the shore line of Carsluith Bay. It is situated on the edge of the UK's first Dark Sky Park and situated on the South Coast 300 route. Shore escape provides the perfect base for a short break, and the perfect base to explore the beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. Please note: if guests are using sofa bed please bring own linens. Carrick Shore, Coastal home private entry to beach

Spacious beach house with private enclosed garden, ample parking area with private access down to the beach. Well equipped for family life. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. TV and Wifi. Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Or of course just chill with a cold drink and stargaze. Friday check in, 3 night minimum booking in winter months and minimum 7 days from April to November.

The Granary, Little Tahall Farm

The Granary is situated on our small working farm with stunning views over Wigtown Bay. Sleeps 2/4 with twin or double bedroom downstairs, single/double bed can be provided in lounge. Small child friendly, travel cot, high chair etc available. Short drive to beaches, Galloway Forest, hills and coast. Five minutes from Wigtown, handy for the Book Festival. Great for bikers, cyclists, walkers, bird watching or relaxing. One well behaved dog welcome, please advise us before arrival.

We've got secret wild swimming spots, stargazing, & wildlife in abundance, lovely walks on Cairnsmore or just relax, unwind and reconnect with family & friends. Our jewel of a cabin harks back to simpler days surrounded by beauty. Enjoy!

The Potager Tree House

Situated within the vegetable garden five feet up. Unfortunately, not suitable for disabled access. There is a tree coming up through the balcony which gets full sun in the morning for breakfast alfresco. Living area is small and quirky but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Outside there is a BBQ, a wood fired whiskey barrel hot tub and enough coals and logs provided for one night. The garden is secure and dog friendly. Private entry and parking.

A two bedroom, two hundred year old cottage, Tide View is situated centrally in Scotland's book town, Wigtown. With stunning views over the bay and Galloway hills, you can relax with the whole family or friends. This beautiful area of Galloway has wonderful beaches, scenic hills and forests. A well behaved dog is welcome, the house is fully fenced (1.3m high at lowest point) and there are dog walking areas at the doorstep and a children's play park 50m away.
