No TV, BYO Wifi. 20' basic container. Single trundle bed. Surrounded by native bush garden, on beautiful Land for Wildlife. It's small. It's unpretentious. There's a ceiling fan when the breeze is off duty. Enjoy the shower deck. Kitchen has sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee pod thingamajig. You'll need a car: We're 7 min to the shops, 13 minutes to the river, 15 minutes to the surf, 25 min to the hinterland waterfalls but only 0 minutes to tranquility. Host on premises.

A full kitchen includes a coffee maker, although we highly recommend the local cafes and restaurants which are an easy walk away. Rowan House, a magnificent three-level French-styled residence, is uniquely positioned high in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Perched atop Mount Mellum’s highest north-easterly point, the homestead commands spectacular 180° views of almost 150 km of Australia’s coastline and islands - from Noosa through to Brisbane. The restored mansion was Queensland’s 1942 “House of the Year” and is just a 25 minute drive from beaches. Original tennis court is refurbished.

The Aviary: private, romantic, tranquil retreat

The Aviary is a private, tranquil cabin sitting in a section of our garden, away from the main house. It is surrounded by trees and bushes, perfect to relax, unwind and listen to an array of birds and wildlife. Diddillibah is a great base for exploring the coast. A 10min drive to beaches, shops and restaurants. A 15 min drive and you can be up in the beautiful hinterland.

Subtropical privacy and serenity surround the accommodation areas, set in tropical gardens . If you enjoy gardens, there is always something flowering in the garden or treetops. Guests awake to the calls of many bird varieties in the surrounding trees. Within the rambling gardens is a landscaped pool available to guests, as is the adjacent fire pit for evening enjoyment.
