Cozy Trailside Nordic Forest Cottage

Welcome to the Trailside Gökotta Forest Cottage: a modern, minimalist and serene nature cabin on the Birkie Trail system. Gökotta means 'to get up early to listen to sounds of birds and the forest'. Located right on Birkie Ridge Trailhead with close access to vast CAMBA trails, this is a nature escape for outdoor enthusiasts who love to bike, ski, hike, and bird watch. Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

Your space is a self-contained apartment on the lower level of our 2.5 story home. It features a private entry, queen-sized bed, kitchenette, lower level private deck, access our beautiful grounds & more! We're a family of artists who love to travel & to introduce others to our beautiful part of the world.

Close to tourist areas such as Duluth, Bayfield, Ashland and more. This cabin is the perfect get away. The Brule river is only 8 miles away and can make for the perfect day trip in a kayak or canoe. This cabin comfortably fits 2-4 people! You can enjoy the outdoors at the fire pit or the 3 season porch that gives you the perfect indoor/outdoor feeling!

This is a cabin-in-the-woods experience! The Seeley Oaks A-Frame is our slice of the peaceful Northwoods experience. It's on 40 private, tranquil acres (no neighbors!) with great access to all the Hayward-Cable area has to offer. At 700sq ft, it's intended for two adults, with the option of 2 addtl kids. We are known for beautiful sunsets with quiet surroundings and located minutes from the famous Brule River, great hiking trails nearby and a 35 minute drive from Duluth/Superior or a bit further east to the Bayfield/Ashland area. Cozy Fireplace in a Northwoods Tiny House

Deer Haven is a tiny house (192 sq feet) located in my backyard, overlooking acres of woodland. The space is small and simple. Get to the queen bed in the sleeping loft by climbing the ladder. Bathroom has a toilet and stock tank shower. The kitchen has basic amenities - fridge, microwave, hot plate, griddle, dishes, etc. Best spot in the house is on the couch, where you can see the fireplace and the gorgeous woods out the patio door.

The Cottage: No cleaning fees! Access to trails!

This charming one-bedroom cottage sits peacefully by the tree line, inviting you to start your mornings with coffee on the private porch. Spend afternoons exploring snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, or canoeing in Brule River State Forest. In the evenings, unwind with movies in your cozy retreat. For larger groups, consider renting The Farmhouse at Brule River Barn, a spacious four-bedroom, two-bath home sleeping 11.
