Cheerful New Cottage Style Family Mountain Getaway

Centrally located in the rebuilding town of Paradise. Every home on our street was lost in the 2018 Camp Fire. We are the fourth home to be rebuilt on the street. There is new hope for this small mountain community. Decorated in a cozy cottage look with comfortable beds and everything you need in our stocked kitchen. Excellent internet and a smart TV . There is an outdoor table for and gas grill. Our local marina, Line Saddle, has boat, paddle board and kayak rentals for a day on the lake.

This guest-house cabin is nestled on our family’s 5 acres in the pine forests of the Sierra Nevadas. Only 3hrs from San Francisco, 2hrs from Sacramento, and 20min from Chico, come unplug in this newly remodeled space and enjoy a slice of authentic rural living. Recharge in solitude or get out-and-about to enjoy the countryside. There is nearby hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, & swimming. Also only about an hour drive to beautiful Lake Almanor and the amazing gem of Lassen National Park.

This cottage was completely remodeled in 2020. It sits on the back of our property and backs up to an orchard. The property is over an acre. It is quiet and peaceful. You will find fruit trees, grapes, a garden and chickens. The chickens roam the property during the day. You may hear a rooster in the AM. There is a covered patio and fire pit to enjoy the evenings in Chico. If you like to cook outdoors there is a gas BBQ & pellet grill/smoker. It is 1.8 miles from Chico State and Downtown.

In the heart of historic downtown Oroville, Judge Gray's home (est. 1875), offers four suites (each w/ private bathroom and shower), kitchen, dining room, parlor, office & laundry. A couple or group of eight can enjoy the house while exploring the beauty and history of Butte County. Located 2 blocks from downtown’s unique restaurants, shops and the Feather River. One suite per guest (two guests maximum per suite.) Unbooked suites will be locked to keep the cleaning fee affordable.
