Calvados : locations de vacances dans des châteaux

I stayed here with two friends while traveling through Normandy. We were in the Executive suite: two rooms sharing a bathroom. We absolutely loved our stay! The house is full of history and atmosphere and Anne Marie was very welcoming. We especially enjoyed chatting with her while we enjoyed her generous breakfast spread (complete with preserves she made herself). Each room has a binder with detailed information on the long history of the village and house, including personal recollections about the WWII years written by members of Anne Marie's own family. I highly recommend this listing.

We really enjoyed our stay at Yseult’s beautiful historic 1758 chateau. We loved the beautiful tall windows and the way they opened; the decor of the home suited the era of the time; the amazing woodwork and the tall ceilings! The property and her majestic trees! She is close to downtown- an easy 10-15 minute walk. Yseult herself is so very kind, she went out of her way to assist us and to make suggestions. From the lovely morning breakfasts to the comfortable well appointed guest room we would recommend this home to other travelers and would be happy to stay here again in the future

Appartement très spacieux, particulièrement calme, idéalement situé, correctement équipé et à la propreté irréprochable. Attention néanmoins le château, et une bonne partie du golf, sont dans une zone GSM quasi blanche. La communication avec Catherine est de qualité. L'arrivée et le départ sont très simples.

Un excellent séjour J’arrive par une allée principale sur le côté du château, une vue sur la petite chapelle. Valentin le gardien nous accueille . J’entre par la porte sur le côté donnant sur une entrée où est stocké du bois que pierre nous a gentiment permis d’utiliser pour faire du feu dans la grande cheminée Passage par une porte dérobée et je découvre l’immense salon, un grand tapis rouge, canapés et fauteuils face à la cheminée nous ont offerts de bons moments de partage et de conversations De beaux tableaux ornent les murs ainsi qu’une magnifique tenture. Un piano Pleyel quart de queue sur lequel j’ai pu joué pour le plus grand plaisir des miens Fais suite une grande salle à manger magnifique La cuisine est très fonctionnelle et tout équipée A l’étage les chambres et salles de bains sont parfaites confortables et spacieuses Brasero à l’extérieur nombreux équipements Le plaisir de voir les biches au petit matin depuis le salon L’histoire du château en fait un lieu méritant

François was awesome and his Chateau was beautiful. He had a wonderful garden in the back and a private beach you could go to with a waterfall. It was special. Very close to all the b-day beaches and the town of Bayeux. François was friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour au Pressoir en famille. Tout le monde a apprécié ce week end de calme, de repos dans cette superbe campagne normande, Le pressoir a une vie dont il est impossible de se lasser. Paul-Jean, sa famille ainsi que Valentin, de ma Normandie est servie, ont été très accueillants, avec beaucoup d’attentions pour leurs invités.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation to Normandy this year. The chateau was beautiful and an easy driving distance to the D-Day Beaches and Mont Saint Michele. Bayeux, Caen and Falaise are close and have an interesting mixture of which medieval and WW2 history. We are very grateful to Annika as she provided excursion and restaurant suggestions which were spot on. We had also wanted a chef to come in and cook a meal for us based on the local cuisine. The chef Annika recommended cooked a delicious meal for us and this was one of many highlights of our trip. Please utilize Florence the housekeeper. She had home cooked meals ready for us to enjoy for both lunch and dinner. I highly recommend for those who fly in overnight, We also loved the grounds. We played yard games daily and loved watching the children play the Duke of Normandy. Thank you Annika for helping us to have such a wonderful vacation!

Nous avons passé un court, mais fort agréable séjour chez Axèle dans son très bel appartement au cœur d’un château dans un superbe parc mis en valeur par la saison printanière, à 10 mn d’Honfleur.

What a wonderful and underrated spot. Firstly, Wilfrid was an amazing host. Always available, very attentive, and Gallic hospitality at its best. He was extremely flexible in all aspects (from check-in, use of spa, and time to eat breakfast). We mistakenly slept in one morning and we were able to eat a proper breakfast at 1130. Extremely clean and a serene environment. A very immersive Normandy experience. The house is very old but fully renovated as it is a passion project for Wilfrid who has spent generations in the house.

🌟 5/5 - Un week-end parfait dans un lieu exceptionnel ! Nous avons passé un week-end absolument génial dans ce magnifique Airbnb. Le logement est spacieux, très bien décoré et parfaitement équipé. La piscine a été un vrai bonheur, surtout avec le beau temps que nous avons eu, et le coin barbecue a largement contribué à l’ambiance conviviale de notre séjour. Petit bémol : la route pour accéder au logement n’était pas évidente à trouver au départ, et une ampoule ainsi qu’un pommeau de douche ne fonctionnaient plus à notre arrivée. Heureusement, le concierge a été très réactif, disponible et super flexible — tout a été réglé rapidement ! La propreté était correcte, et la communication avec les hôtes a été fluide et agréable du début à la fin. Un grand merci encore pour cette belle parenthèse. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !
