The former home of Tess Owens, the matriarch of the R J Owens grocery store family lived here above the food co-op after the founder RJ Owens died. I am told she religiously swept the foot path every morning before opening time and kept an eagle eye on everything. This contemporary super sized studio apartment has been remodelled to suit modern living in the 21st century, fridge, microwave, Nespresso, double shower, dining and lounge area. I'd consider long term furnished booking! Beyond the French doors in the living room is a view north overlooking the harbour. The morning sun on the balcony is amazing and you can sit and watch the boats come in and soak up the sun. The beach, King Edward park and Anzac walk, Cafe's and Restaurants galore are a short walk away in this historic part of Newcastle. Great places to walk to and explore! If you prefer to stay or the weather isn't great and videos and games to play.
