Greg’s place is exactly what we’d hoped it would be; beautiful setting, quaint, quiet, fully appointed, clean, comfy, close to town, and if you’re lucky you’ll get tons of puppy love from Nemo, the resident ambassador of goodwill. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas stay so that we could be closely located to our daughter’s home in Purcellville, and completely at home in your home.

This was the perfect home base for a weekend of traveling from Harpers Ferry to Leesburg and everywhere in-between. It was very quiet and peaceful at the property with lots of wildlife in the area. The apartment felt cozy and the bed was very comfortable! We loved all of the recommendations in the Host Guidebook that we visited. Our favorite places outside the guide book were Bear Chase Brewing and Flying Ace Distillery! If you happen to head down towards Leesburg, BKD bagels had a great selection of breakfast sandwiches.

We had a lovely time at the loft! Kim was sweet and very good with communication. The space was perfect for our little Bachelorette weekend. Great antique store across the street and coffee shop down the road.

The place was charming, well stocked and very comfortable. The communication was great and we would definitely rent again.

If you're looking for a spot in the woods, within earshot of a babbling brook, this is a lovely option. Although some noise/movement from the upstairs neighbors is audible (this is a basement/back of house property) this didn't bother me. Reagan and Donnie are lovely humans and very accommodating hosts. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone who's looking for a rural stay in Waterford.

A friend & I stayed to cycle & hike Harper's Ferry & the Shepardstown area of the C&O. The placed checked all our important boxes..very clean, nice shower with hot water, very comfortable beds & furniture, very quiet, strong wifi. Download Google maps directions to get there as you might loose your cell connection. Same if you travel the area..download while on wifi at the house. When I saw the vintage GE electric stove with push button controls I though...wow will this thing work! Yes it works great! It heated up my hot water for tea & oatmeal faster than any modern stove! We had a great stay and will definitely stay again.

Robert's retreat is exactly what our family needed to get away from our ticky-tacky suburban lifestyle. Our dog could run free as could our kids. Yes it was colder/wetter than we hoped and being from the south put as at odds with nature but we enjoyed the wonderful wide open out doors in small sprints. From walking the hanging foot bridge over and over to teaching my girls to cast and reel their first rod. We lit a fire the first night and the negative ions had the effect i had hoped for. My kids read and relaxed for bedtime. Robert is the epitome of "hospitality " always a few minutes away via chat to answer questions and provide guidance. I did learn that the Airbnb policy indicates that it is incumbent on the renter to provide their own firewood. Robert was gracious enough to supply wood for our first night but something you should consider logistically if staying more than a day during winter. We look forward to enjoying Robert's retreat again. Clan Milligan

Lovely view of mountains and trees. Very peaceful and restful. We could actually understand how you can call it "whispering pines" when we heard the wind in the trees. The deck is spacious and has nice covered and uncovered seating. We enjoyed our coffee in morning and glass of wine at night there! Very comfortable home. Well stocked with lots of thoughtful touches! You can tell the hosts worked to ensure you had a comfortable stay! Bill and Stephanie (the hosts) live next door and introduced themselves early in our stay. Very friendly and helpful folks. It was nice to know they were nearby but you could not see them or any other neighbors' homes nor hear anyone at all. We were there in late April so did not need a AWD, there were a few miles of unpaved roads, but very manageable. I'd highly recommend!

Truly enjoyed staying at Janell's AirBnB. The house was spacious, well stocked, and had all the needed amenities we wanted for getting ready for our event. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay at this place as the scenery is beautiful and is in a remote/quite area!

What a lovely place! I am a fan of riverside places - being able to sit on a deck and listen to the river all day is heaven! This meets that criteria! I can imagine floating in warmer weather would be great, too! The rooms are a bit smaller than appear in pictures but there is plenty of comfortable seating. The beds are super comfy. Go to The Apple House for the apple/cinnamon donuts! The neighbors were closer than I expected so there were no pretty views to the sides but --- just look at the river! I hope to go back.

Beautiful and so clean. Everything seemed brand new. Smores kit and dog gift was such a nice treat. We loved the cooking options on the deck! We stayed in and cooked every night. The surroundings were lovely and the house was perfect for our family of 5.

Cute cabin and not too far out from the city! Loved the privacy of the space and it looked exactly like the photos. Host was very communicative and responsive and amenities were accurate! A few minor “Cons”… 2 full bathrooms but one of them is inside the main room upstairs and the downstairs bathroom door doesn’t close so you either have to hold it shut while using the bathroom or put the trash can to hold the door close. I wished the snow/ice was removed from walkways and outdoor amenities so we could enjoy them! We ended buying salt to put down for the walkway to the home as it was as we didn’t have the most balanced group lol. Would’ve definitely appreciated if they took care of that beforehand. There was a significant amount of dog hair on the living room rug which was bothersome for one of my friends who had allergies but we vacuumed which helped. Overall great place to stay and will keep this place on my list for future staycations 🤗

It was a was a perfect get away for my friends and me. We didn’t even leave the house we enjoyed it so much. We didn’t get to use the outdoor areas much because of rain, but there was plenty to do in the house. I would stay there again.

Karens place on the Shenendoah River is awesome. So many beautiful touches. The beds are firm and linens super clean. Great kitchen and pans. Great deck, access to fish and kayak. Would stay again. Thanks!

Beautiful spot by the river, very comfortable and clean, and great location for exploring Shenandoah and Front Royal. Provided excellent coffee and tea and convenient set up for home cooking. Stephen and Melissa were very responsive and helpful. Recommend wholeheartedly!
