Jane's Lodge

An oasis of peace and tranquility on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Country walks, wildlife and two village pubs on the doorstep. Perfectly placed for visiting local hot spots like Haworth and 'Happy Valley' country, with the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales around. Jane's Lodge is on a small farm, there may be sheep in our fields. As such we can not accept dogs or pets of any size, however well behaved. We are not suitable for children, toddlers or babies. Jane’s Lodge is strictly no smoking.

A Yorkshire hideaway with period features away from roads, it is ideal for couples, single travellers and small families wanting peace and open countryside. The small rural valley of Lothersdale is five miles from Skipton and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We offer bikes, many country walks, and the excellent water comes from an aquifer (no chemical treatment). Popular tourist towns of Skipton and Haworth are nearby. * Shed End and my other place, The Workshop, are in the same building.

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Despite this rural idyll, we’re only a five minute car drive from Clitheroe, one of the North-West’s nicest market towns. The views will take your breath away!

There is a lovely pub serving real ale & home cooked food, a village store, a restaurant, a pizza take away, a chip shop & a childrens outdoor activity centre. Suitable for all, our cosy home is situated on the edge of the moor with a private garden and spectacular views. We are close to the lovey market town of Skipton, the Pennine Way, Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland AONB.
