On a farm set in 13 acres and 500 m from the nearest road, you will savour the tranquillity yet it's a 10 to 15 min drive to St Andrews and an hour from Edinburgh Airport. A car is required.

Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.

Eastmost Cottage is in a wonderful position on the edge of the historic village of Falkland. It's a short walk from the fine Renaissance Falkland Palace, the heart of the medieval village with its independent shops, cafes restaurants and pub. There is great walking in the Lomond hills, accessible on foot. The wonderful Covenanter has fantastic food all day; the Hayloft and Pillars of Hercules are lovely cafes. Fine dining at the Boar's Head in nearby Auchtermuchty.

Ground floor cosy self catering flat in the beautiful fishing village of St Monans. There is a wood burning stove, a well equipped kitchen with washing machine ,fridge freezer, gas hob and electric oven. The bathroom has a deep bath with an over bath shower and to keep your feet cosy under floor heating and a heated towel rail. Whether you want to be active or just relax, Howden Cottage is a great base to enjoy all the delights of East Lothian. If you want a trip to Edinburgh it's about a 45 minute drive or you can drive to the local station - about 8 minutes away and take the train which is 25 minutes. Parking at the station is free.
