Pop the wood burner on and enjoy reading a book, sit in the walled courtyard with a fresh morning coffee listening to the birdsong, maybe you’d prefer the wood fired hot tub, or popping a record on the player - so many options to relax!

Ivy Bank Studio Creetown - Gem Rocks Neighbour.

Ivy Bank Studio, run by Mary & Jonathan, is an attached studio room of Ivy Cottage. It is independent from the main Cottage. Which itself was built in 1795 from local stone. It is situated on a private no through road, located directly in front of the Gem Rock museum and cafe. The location of the studio room in Creetown offers excellent outdoor views across to Cairnsmore Hill & Wigtown Bay. Creetown itself is a welcoming tourist village ideal for those wishing to explore Dumfries & Galloway.

Shore Escape

Shore Escape is a self-catering, coastal, family-run, handcrafted retreat with sea views and a stones throw from the shore line of Carsluith Bay. It is situated on the edge of the UK's first Dark Sky Park and situated on the South Coast 300 route. Shore escape provides the perfect base for a short break, and the perfect base to explore the beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. Please note: if guests are using sofa bed please bring own linens. Carrick Shore, Coastal home private entry to beach

Spacious beach house with private enclosed garden, ample parking area with private access down to the beach. Well equipped for family life. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms. TV and Wifi. Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Or of course just chill with a cold drink and stargaze. Friday check in, 3 night minimum booking in winter months and minimum 7 days from April to November.

The Granary, Little Tahall Farm

The Granary is situated on our small working farm with stunning views over Wigtown Bay. Sleeps 2/4 with twin or double bedroom downstairs, single/double bed can be provided in lounge. Small child friendly, travel cot, high chair etc available. Short drive to beaches, Galloway Forest, hills and coast. Five minutes from Wigtown, handy for the Book Festival. Great for bikers, cyclists, walkers, bird watching or relaxing. One well behaved dog welcome, please advise us before arrival.

Bridgeview, The Hollow

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay at Bridgeview in Creetown. Situated next door to woodland walks and rivers, the scenery is stunning. There is also a children’s play park next door for all the family to enjoy! Creetown hosts a gem stone museum and a heritage museum. Within a 20min drive there is also a Cocobean chocolate factory, Mossy yard beach, Kirroughtree biking trail and the red deer range park. All fantastic for the whole family!

It is perfect for families or two couples, garden is fully enclosed (except for determined dogs). Kids have space to make dens, climb trees or toast marshmallows. In summer relax on the patio, In winter curl up with a book or board game and enjoy the stunning views from the cosy interior.
