We had a magical stay in the Yurt at Fordhall Farm. It was fantastic to feel so close to nature the yurt was ever so comfortable. Our two children absolutely loved it - the barbecues, the wood burner and keeping cosy, the amazing beauty of the place, the animals voices (!) - and so did we. There are brilliant walks which are perfect for young children and we were supplied with bug hunting rucksacks to go and explore. And we found the farm itself a really inspiring place to be with an incredible story.

Fantastic place! We couldn't date this more highly, the host was so friendly, our sons loved all the farm animals, and our yurt was cozy and clean. The facilities were superb. And there is so much to do nearby we will definitely return!

Stayed in the yurt with 3 of our grandkids. First time under canvas for them so very excited. John our host was friendly and very helpful. There was lots to do on and off the water for the kids while my wife and I relaxed in and out of the yurt which is comfy with pretty much all mod cons. We will definitely look to revist with family or as a couple in one of the smaller cabins

10000% would recommend anyone to stay here. I booked this as a suprise for my partners 30th. And we were both blown away. Firstly surrounding areas are breathtaking. The check in process was super ease. And the yurt, oh my how do I even begin to explain how perfect this was. My partner was so so happy with this suprise. The hot tub was an amazing end to the trip Thank you so much to Amy we will definitely return again in the future

Our whole group had a fantastic weekend away at this beautiful spot. The rain didn't dampen our spirits as the facilities were perfect. The gorgeous yurt made a wonderful communal space & the firepit provided a magical outside spot. The tents were very comfortable & had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this private getaway & could not fault it. 10 out of 10!!

Lovely place: beautiful surroundings and a wonderful bit of calm away from the city!

We stayed in the amazing, well-equipped orange yurt for three nights, enjoying beautiful views and a fire each night. We've travelled to a lot of places, but the way Kevin and Fran open their home to people is unrivalled, always with a smile and a warm welcome. The family have dedicated their boundless energy to making the miraculous a reality. It's a place where guests are able to relax in the peace of the tranquil surroundings unhindered, or potentially welcomed to see a little of the magical projects that take place during their stay. It's amazing to see life on a working farm, alongside the exciting projects that abound across the site and the new community centre in the local town, where we enjoyed tasting an array of treats from the cafe under Merlin's care. We also visited the Neolithic village, which is just incredible! It's a life changing place, and comes with the potential of meeting a wide array of inspiring people who live and visit the farm. There's nothing else like it.

The kids absolutely loved staying here. A hidden gem with beautiful scenery and breath taking views. A few days here to recharge is great, off the grid and away from all the chaotic everyday stuff. The hosts were super friendly and always happy to help. We stayed in the red kite yurt, which was clean and just as the pictures showed. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to just get away for a few days. This was our first experience of camping and thrilled to say it won’t be the last. You won’t regret booking here, it really was a amazing experience and to top it off we created lovely memories with the kids who loved the whole time they were there. Thanks Russ and Karen👍

Absolutely beautiful stay. We took our three children, aged 10,9 and 3months. Plenty of space in the yurt, warm enough but was thankful for the extra bedding. We had everything we needed to enjoy a peaceful night. Hosts were fab, met us on arrival and was extremely responsive. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you again

Thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at the Red Kit Yurt. Stephen & Lynn were great hosts and proactive in making sure we had everything we needed. Highlights of our trip included the complimentary box of homemade cakes on arrival and pizza made in the wood fired pizza oven with summer squash grown on the land. The yurt itself was warm and comfortable with the log burner keeping us warm even in October. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a lovely weekend at Spire View Yurts. 4 university friends having our annual weekend get together. Exactly what we needed. Clean, quiet, toasty warm Yurt, relaxing and lots of attention to detail. Everything we needed to eat, chill and catch up. The hot tub under the stars on a clear, cold, February night was lovely. Drove 20 mins to Bakewell in the Saturday, did a gentle circular walk, ate lunch in town and enjoyed the beautiful town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. Debbora was very friendly and responsive to my messages. The place itself is so lovely and so close to the forest so it’s easy to go exploring. We used the stove and outdoor fire and loved having our dinner outside. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wow, this must be the best place we have ever stayed at! It was our first experience in a yurt and the yurt was just brilliant and very cozy! Hot tub outside the yurt was just perfect to relax in in the evening, nice and warm for this cold weather and cleaned regularly. Lots of delicious food a little drive away from the site, well worth trying! We were made to feel very comfortable and nothing was too much of an ask from Michelle and Phil. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, our first time "glamping" we were a little dubious at first, but I'd do it all again 100%, really enjoyed our stay, Steven was incredibly helpful with any queries we had(not many albeit due to the thorough details we were sent). Really really clean place, honestly cannot fault anything about our weekend thoroughly enjoyed every moment, we will definitely look to book again. thanks again!

great place to stay and explore North Wales. well equipped private kitchen and a lovely courtyard to relax in outside the yurt. great location to explore North Wales just a short drive into Aberystwyth and several good hiking areas within driving distance. had absolutely no issues with our stay comfy beds and incredibly clean

A lovely yurt that gave us a unique and wonderful experience. It was delightful to wake up to birdsong in the morning and watch the little lambs playing in the field that the yurt looks on to. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the track is quite narrow and there is really nowhere where you can turn your car around (especially as my car is quite a large saloon). However, we had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend for those who love nature, want a peaceful holiday, etc. This place is very picturesque and idyllic.

My son and I recently stayed at the cabin for an Easter break. The location was great for local walks and climbs but also close enough to Harrogate for a change of pace. The cabin itself was a great experience, my son especially loved roasting marshmallows on the fire. We also had our Labrador in tow, so the secure paddock for him to stretch his legs was an added bonus. On a sunny day it was perfect to sit on the seating area and take in the surrounding views. John as a host was brilliant, he set us up on arrival and was close by if we needed anything at all.

Great place to simply unwind and enjoy the surrounding everything was great would certainly go again.

Spot on from start to finish. Was the perfect mix of rustic outdoor living and home comforts. Spotlessly clean yurt , kitchen and bathroom areas with everything you need for a cosy stay, wonderful views wherever you looked. Great location, straight out of location left 45 min walk to aqueduct, right 45 min walk to Llangollen centre, both along the canal. Lovely dog friendly pub 5 min walk away (sun Trevor). Would not hesitate to recommend and return.

We had the best time at Tim's place! The location exceeded our expectations, it was so peaceful with loads to do and we even saw the resident deer a couple of times. We had a hammock, swings for the kids, a badminton court, firepit area with loads of wood. But make sure you are up for a steep walk to and from the car park as not suited for people with any knee or ankle issues. The yurt was spectacular too with everything you would expect and the furnishings are beautiful 🐝! Thank you Tim for a lovely stay!

aa beautiful gem of a place in a great location in a wonderful town we had a fantastic getaway. Clara was brilliant throughout as was Opal the cat.

we had an amazing night in the yurt, beautiful surroundings, super friendly and welcoming hosts, we all had a really great time and will be a cherished memory will be booking again!

We had a cosy, comfortable stay at The Walkers Rest, with stunning views right from the windows. We made good use of the provided map for a beautiful hike around the local area, spotting plenty of spring lambs along the way. A late request to Angharad for use of the sauna was kindly accommodated, and it turned out to be the perfect final touch to our stay. The sauna features large windows so you can soak in the mountain views and we even heard owls calling in the evening! We’ll definitely be returning!

The yurt was welcoming and pretty even on a cold, wet day. The woodburner was easy to operate and soon had us warm and cosy. When the sun came out we could appreciate the incredible location with birdsong all around (including owls) and far reaching views. It was well organised and conveniences were good. Pizza night was delicious and both Tom and Hayley were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Thank you!
