Lower Mallard cottage, hot-tub & spa options

Mallard is a traditional underdwelling with wonderful original features including beams and barrelled ceilings. It is tucked away high above the river, reached directly by a path and has a lovely view from its own garden to the sheltered woodland beyond. The private hot-tub is available for an additional cost. Exclusive use of the owners off-site private spa - indoor heated swimming pool, spa bath, sauna & outside Swimspa is also available for an additional charge, subject to availability.

Our hut is designed to the highest of standard, with everything from under floor heating to wireless charging points. From the moment you approach our Shepherds Hut you are greeted with motion sensor exterior lights, open the doors kick off your shoes and feel right at home with warmth from the under floor heating.

Situated conveniently alongside some of the delightful places that the Peak District has to offer. What used to be an old working farm has now been turned into its own little holiday village. Guests will enjoy the home comforts of an open plan ground floor, which consists of kitchen, dining and living area, whilst upstairs homes two bedrooms which can both be made with king or twin beds and a separate family bathroom. Within 10 minutes walking distance of the beautiful Carsington Water.

Walk to Chatsworth House (3 miles) across the fields following the River Derwent. The property is known as the Long Shed, for no better reason than it's nice and long! It sleeps two, but there is plenty of space for you to spread out. The kitchen is equipped with all the mod cons. There is a smart TV in both the living room and bedroom, a hot tub out on the patio (please request), and the views are fantastic. If you fancy getting away from it all and enjoying some peace and quiet, some space and lots of countryside - the Long Shed is perfect.
