Great host, great house, great location! This is a very private house that is not far from town, only 20 minutes from the ferry. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious. It’s right on the water which gives hours of enjoyable relaxing both day and night. Speaking of night, you haven’t seen a night sky like this, it’s really amazing! This home was the perfect temporary home base for me and my family as we explored southern Nova Scotia. The host is excellent at communicating clearly. My family of 4 was more than comfortable during our stay here. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you for a great stay!

We looked for a secluded place away from hustle and bustle for a few days and, boy, did we find it! Beautiful surroundings, very well thought out space design and unique, detailed decorations. Kate thought of everything from beach towels to sunscreen to emergency kit. The beach had kayaks, the outdoor space had a deck towering over the magnificent river views where one could enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The place is immersed in serenity of the surrounding woods and St. Croix River. The charming historic town of St. Andrews is just 20 minutes away where one can enjoy quaint little shops and nice restaurants serving delicious local food. A beautiful place worth spending a quiet time in.

Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

The entire home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay to receive the new year . The location was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Josh and Vianca were exceptionally friendly and responsive, providing everything  we needed to feel at home which made the trip even better. The decorations, the deck, the kids section, lake, mountain, and location really made it feel like home away from home. If you’re looking for a cozy, relaxing place with a great host, this is the place. I would absolutely stay here again!

Bertrand's place was very nice and well designed. His response to messages were extremely fast. If you book one of his cabins make sure to book the sauna. It was very private and relaxing. Thank you Bertrand for a wonderful weekend and we hope to return someday.

This house on Lake Gardner was PERFECT for our family gathering to celebrate my daughter's wedding. The outdoor seating and beach front was more beautiful than the photos for chatting, eating, and playing in the sand with a toddler. The lanterns going out to the point were so beautiful and the colors on the lake and other side at sunset were spectacular. Thank you so much Natalie and Eric for sharing this home with us!

I have been thinking what I would include in this review since we stepped foot on Ginny’s beautiful property. None of what I’ve thought about saying scratch the surface of how amazing the property is. The photos don’t do it justice! The property is in amazing condition and well appointed with comfortable linens and furniture. We particularly appreciated the abundant supply of dark towels to help with washing everything from sticky fingers to removing mascara. Ginny has thought of everything you could possibly need, want or need before we did. Everything you might need or want on a whim has been thoughtfully provided by Ginny. Oh, and on the topic of Ginny… a better host has never existed! They’re so thoughtful, proactive and kind. Thank you for such a lovely and relaxing stay. Our only regret is not spending more time at your lovely property.

We felt lucky to find a place so close to the beautiful Kejimkujik National Park!! The yard is huge and beautiful with a lovely walk down to the lake. Comfortable beds, nice hot water, easy to control the temperature in the house. Only negatives; upstairs bathroom only has a tub, kayaks need some work.

The location was so beautiful and quiet! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. The one amenity that we missed was a dryer but the portable washer worked well. The host was very communicative and we felt like we get got a great bargain. Even though I came from the west coast, I got up at sunrise each morning and it was memorable!

We had such a wonderful 3 night stay here! The cottage is so clean,nicely decorated,spacious and comfortable. The unit for ac/heat works is very fast and efficient. We loved all the sitting areas in and around the cottage,and really enjoyed sitting on the dock for morning coffee and evening cocktails and were lucky to see beautiful sunrises and even a gorgeous moonrise from there one night as well. The kayaks and canoe were such a bonus,and were so fun to tour around the beautiful lake on. It was so quiet and peaceful this time of year and we could even hear the loons on the lake. We also enjoyed exploring some of the trails,towns and restaurants nearby that Tammy suggested in her welcome book. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us,we can’t wait to return! 😊

We were so pleased with our stay! Beautiful location, wonderful sandy bottom lake, privacy, comfort, very well equipped kitchen. We will definitely book again!

Gail is a great person and was easy to communicate. she explained everything clearly and the place was amazing. i will definitely book that place again.

We felt like we had a break from the world. It was peaceful, very cozy, charming, and comfortable. We slept like babies, even though it was cooler weather and we had to put wood in the stove for heat (something we enjoyed immensely). Kitchen was reasonably equipped, so we just cooked our own meals. If you’re ok with a few bugs and spiders here and there (nothing dangerous), you’ll love it. We plan to be back.

This was a great stay and we hope to be back. The weather was less than favorable but it didn't matter, we loved staying here. Beautiful location and an amazing home. It had everything we needed!

Claudia was a wonderful host. She was super helpful and ensured we got the most out of our visit. Dragonfly dreams is private and secluded. She has canoes, kayaks and a screened in porch. The sunrises are amazing and it's very peaceful listening to nature around you. We loved meeting both her and Tashi. She is definitely a warm and kind person. We highly recommend her place.

Kate’s property is amazing! It’s on the end of a gravel road, so it’s very private (It’s literally in the woods). The second we walked through the door we were blown away. Huge picture windows showing off the beautiful view of Orange Lake. The cabin itself was spotless. So clean and bright. It has a covered deck and an enclosed porch perfect for sitting and enjoying the views. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Plus the grill outside (we only used it once because it was cold and windy)The heat kept the place toasty warm and the shower was nice and hot. The beds were comfy! The WiFi worked great and there was even a smart tv with all the streaming services. All the comforts of home. We didn’t have any major issues but any small questions we had, Kate was very quick to respond. The dogs loved walking around the area, which consisted of dirt and gravel roads, so no traffic. Definitely an 11/10! We plan on returning!

My family and I had a great time at Robert's camp! growing up in the area, I was so excited to get to stay so close to town yet have the rustic feel. Robert's cabin had plenty of linens to keep us warm, and he had the heat on ready for us when we arrived. I can't wait to stay there again in the future!

Loved the lake, had a lot of fun with Bass and exploring. Cabin was fully equipped with practically everything. Looking forward to another visit.

Abby's cottage was clean and fresh and in a beautiful location as described. Communication was prompt and clear throughout. Abby and her husband Brian were excellent hosts who exceeded our expectations.

This was such a beautiful place! I wish we could have stayed longer! If I ever get back up here from North Carolina, I will definitely stay here again.

Jan's cabin is the perfect spot for a Maine Lakeside getaway. The house was cozy and had all the amenities you would want while being right on the water. The outside deck is definitely the highlight with comfortable furniture to dine and watch the amazing sunsets. Janet is a delight as a host and I look forward to returning.

Loved this quiet peaceful space for a family getaway. Close to gorgeous beaches. 15-20min away from Carters beach and Summerville beach. The latter is a great beginner surfing beach.

I did a bit of a longer stay here and really enjoyed it. Amanda and Jay were very accommodating and communicative, oftentimes proactively reaching out to see if I needed anything. The location is beautiful and while there is a house that is quite close to the bunkie (it's not quite as private as the pictures suggest), the overall area feels quite remote and serene. It's a great place to disconnect and enjoy nature.
