This cottage is a historic "mother-in-laws" dwelling located in the back yard of our family home. The cozy cottage is 2 blocks from downtown Douglas where you will find restaurants, bars, a movie theater, boutique shopping and at certain times of the year outdoor festivities.
The Bird House - A Fabulous Nest in Douglas!Welcome to The Bird House! This adorable little bungalow is quirky and crooked and full of charm! It's also very cozy, and warm and in a great area. Located in the original town of Douglas, surrounded by mature trees and close to many amenities, we assure that you will feel right at home! We bought this house from a little old lady who added on, and on, and on. There is plenty of space to spread out, cook a great meal and out back you'll find a gigantic tree & a great deck where you can unwind.

You will enjoy the lake cabin feel as you sit and relax in our home away from home. Our house is fully furnished including everything you might need to enjoy a lake vacation. Lake access is less than 5 minutes away and within walking distance if you chose. We hope you will love it as much as we do.
