Griffin - The Lake Superior Riverboat

The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. In the evening the full kitchen is a dream for a foodie, or head fifteen minutes to a brewery. Before bed put up your feet, play a game, read a book, or doze by the fireplace’s heat.

Enjoy 200 ft of private lakeshore while staying in this spacious and serene home with sweeping views of Lake Superior. Romantic Forest Cabin, Sauna, Trail to Beach

Treat yourself to a deluxe stay in this quiet, newly constructed cabin with picture windows, screened porch and barrel sauna. Enjoy long days and sunsets at Corny Beach, a 10 min walk from the cabin along a nature trail. Visit Bayfield 20 min away or take in the quirky, small-town of Cornucopia and then come home and take a sauna in this peaceful forest! The cabin has an occupancy limit of 2 adults and one dog ($50 pet fee). A SUP board is stored near the beach for guests in summer.

The Wandering Moose -Cabin Getaway, with Sauna!

This cabin was built for family gatherings and a recreational retreat and has been in the family for years. We offer a place to sleep 4 with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, bar area, dining table and a small bathroom with a shower and sink. We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.
