The Sea Cubby, Private Holiday Lodge, Portling.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Set on the banks of Loch Patrick in SW Scotland, our shepherds hut sleeps two, has a wood burning stove and beautiful views. Our eco-friendly hut offers an opportunity to completely switch off and enjoy a slower pace of life. Enjoy watching the sunrise from the decking, star gazing at the fire pit or while away the days watching the wildlife, you will not be disappointed by the tranquillity of our location.

Shore Escape is a self-catering, coastal, family-run, handcrafted retreat with sea views and a stones throw from the shore line of Carsluith Bay. It is situated on the edge of the UK's first Dark Sky Park and situated on the South Coast 300 route. Come & relax in the cozy cabin in a peaceful location with friendly highland cow neighbours. A self contained space with kitchenette & shower-room. The kitchenette includes a sink, fridge, kettle, toaster & microwave. Please note, there's no oven/hob. There's plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. There's broadband & Freesat TV. You'll find a hanging rail & chest of drawers for storage. The cabin is in a separate area of the property with its own private garden/patio. Parking is available.

The Signal Box is a cosy retreat to switch off in nature. On the edge of Galloway Forest Park and within the UNESCO Biosphere, it’s surrounded by wildlife. Culzean Castle and Country Park is a 40-min drive. Nearby, wild swimming is available at Girvan Beach, Galloway Forest Park, and the Water of Minnoch in Glen Trool. Galloway Forest highlights include scenic trails, Bruce’s Stone, and the Red Deer Range. On the edge of the Dark Sky Park, it’s perfect for stargazing.

Charming chalet in peaceful rural location.

Our chalet is in our large, well managed garden. While it is near our house and we are happy to chat, we always respect peoples privacy. This is a very peaceful place where you can sit outside and watch the flames of the fire pit at night or stay in and have a cosy evening. Our neighbours are all of the four legged variety so some countryside noises are to be expected but the cows love to come and greet you at the wall. Parking space in garden
