This beautiful cottage was built in 1916, and is rich in local history as it was part of a larger property used by MacRobertson chocolate company for timber production of wooden casks to hold maize syrup. This historical cottage situated on the Yarra river flats has been lovingly restored to accomodate guests requiring wheelchairs and the non-ambulatory. The property is just 3 minutes from central Warburton which allows visitors to enjoy all that the amazing Upper Yarra Valley has to offer.

Dandaloo Luxury Escape short drive to Yarra Valley

Dandaloo Luxury Escape is a self-contained 2-bedroom house set in the grounds of Dandaloo homestead, circa 1890s. It has been tastefully renovated and built to take in the ambiance of surrounding gardens and natural bush. Each morning of your stay you can begin the day by enjoying a leisurely breakfast on one of the 3 decks, using the quality provisions left for you in the fridge. Only a few minutes walk to the Main Street of Warburton, you can stroll into town or just sit on the large deck and listen to the many birds in the surrounding trees. An open kitchen with German appliances, a wood heater for cozy nights and a king bed for watching the many cloud formations that drift by makes this getaway so memorable.

This property is a mere 3 minutes up the hill from Warburton village but feels much more tucked away. There are two buildings here which were thoughtfully built to face in opposite directions for maximum privacy. Lots to see on the grounds including the creek and lush gardens. If you want to venture further on foot or by mountain bike you will find you are very near the 30 km long O'Shannassy Aqueduct trail and the Warburton trail which goes as far as Lilydale.
