Shaw's grocery store, Polish Princess Bakery and Copper Pig Brewery are only a short 10 minutes away in Lancaster, New Hampshire.

Mountain Retreat in the Northeast Kingdom

We are located along the Connecticut river on the VT and NH border, just minutes from Lancaster, NH. The house is nestled off a rural road and offers privacy and tranquility to our guests. Spend your days cuddled up around the wood-burning stove while enjoying the mountains, bake in our fully equipped kitchen or take a bubble bath in our jetted bathtub. Whether you want to get your sunshine in hiking, skiing, or boating or you want to rest and take in the views, our rustic retreat will suit you.

The Darling A-frame

With rustic charm, the new custom-built "Darling A" was crafted with material from an 1800s barn and locally harvested cedar from our property. Expansive windows throughout the cabin provide sunshine throughout the day and offer a glimpse of Burke Mountain, forest, and wildlife. Almost every piece of the cabin has its own history, as many of the items were thoughtfully curated from the surrounding area. Property offers direct access to the Kingdom Trails network/VAST (via culvert cut/hog back.)

Hilltop Guesthouse #1

Our guest house is a private detached studio apartment. Close to many local activities, including Kingdom Trails mountain biking, V.A.S.T. snowmobiling, Burke Mountain Resort and beautiful Lake Willoughby. The full kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, range with oven, toaster, coffee pot, silverware, glassware, and cookware. The bathroom has an upright shower, and full linens and towels are provided. We invite you to come stay with us and spend time seeing what Northern Vermont has to offer.

Unique stay at a horse sanctuary

Immerse yourself in the quintessential Vermont experience at Storeybrook Farm. This rescue horse sanctuary is located amidst rolling hills, mountain vistas and a tranquil pond. "The Carriage House” is our largest suite with a fully equipped kitchen (stocked upon request), that opens up to a dining area with forest views. The living room features a woodburning fireplace and 2 built in queen bed "bunks". Enjoy sun-soaked pasture views from the main bedroom or while soaking in the clawfoot bathtub.

Our cozy home is newly constructed, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated, tucked in a private clearing with direct access to the Kingdom Trail network and VAST snowmobiling trails, minutes from Burke Mountain, and a short drive to Lake Willoughby. Just up the road from the village of East Burke, we are close to nearby amenities yet in a quiet hillside surrounded by nature, the perfect location for a weekend getaway, whether you are biking, skiing, hiking or exploring the Northeast Kingdom.

Soak up lake life as you bask in coffee and magic sunrises right outside your window. Right on the VAST trails, location is perfect for two to three snowmobiler’s or two couple’s by request.
