This AirBnB is a charming old farmhouse that has been updated with modern conveniences without sacrificing its original character. It is surrounded by lush greenery, along a scenic road. We stayed in the upstairs loft, which is much more spacious than the photo depicts. The king bed was super comfortable and the linens very upscale. The double-sink bathroom was also beautifully refurbished and updated. Wendy, the owner, was there and is a very interesting person and totally accommodating - seemed always concerned for our comfort. We used her downstairs kitchen primarily for morning coffee, and tea, and she joined us on the marvelous outside porch to watch and listen to the birds, bunnies, owls, and more. At night, the loud chirping of crickets and bullfrogs is intoxicating. A great stay.

Stephen’s place was perfect for our work trip. The area it’s in is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Stephen was an amazing host- he immediately brought us a new blender as soon as we notified him that the one at the house was broken. Also, the beds were super comfy. My only complaint is that a lot of the dishes in the kitchen weren’t very clean (probably due to the previous guests). Otherwise, our stay was perfect!

What a pleasure. Jessica has a really special place and it was a perfect location for us. Very private and cozy, we could come and go all we wanted and didn't feel limited. The horses were a great addition and we got to know them. I would definitely stay here again and feel we made a friend.

Stephen was very accommodating as we had a reservation canceled last minute. Accommodations were beautiful. Scenic views. Infinity pool was amazing. Very comfortable. Washington is a great town with nice restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at one of Stephen’s properties again.

This place really is a gem. The bedroom and bathroom and spacious and have everything you need. The kitchen is small and can be challenging to work in, but the outdoor grill and dining space make up for that. We spent most of our time outside by the private pool relaxing. James and Margie were great hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and were so friendly and warm. They even brought fresh-bakes cookies. We had a great time!

Listing was exactly as advertised: a charming, cozy cottage in Trumbull, had all the necessities, lots of shops and stores within driving distance. Loys of room, perfect for large families. Stephanie was very welcoming and super responsive. Would love to stay again next time we visit CT!

Our time here was wonderful - the house is comfy, cute and very relaxing. The beds are great and the shower is as well. We made a fire in the living room and was just so warm and inviting after exploring the beautiful property. I would most certainly recommend this home for a relaxing getaway.

Cannot thank Stephen enough for taking care of us after a major mess up. We were able to get in and relax and enjoy. So grateful for all he did for us on a graduation weekend.

Lovely, lovely! Nice contemporary house, designed by Elizabeth. Cozy bedroom, beautiful bathroom. Elizabeth was most gracious and friendly, and little Luca is a bonus. You won’t regret this one.

Gianna’s place is amazing, wonderful, squeaky clean. She is responsive, helpful. Her house is beautiful! The view is amazing. The lake view is spectacular. The community is peaceful. Gianna’s taste is exquisite. Everything is so thought through. She even made the most beautiful introductory folder of the house, neighborhoods, restaurants, even police and hospitals information, all printed on a really nice plastic kind of paper and all the info in one folder. I stayed in many vacations home, even some really nice one in some beach vacation towns. None of those would have such thoughtfulness. I can tell that she is truly a proud owner. My family has spent the past few nights there. There are enough for the teens to do- playing soccers, bocce ball, tennis, pickleball, basketball, kayaking… then at night we watch movies, BBQ. We had the most fun time making memories in this amazing house. Neighbors are super friendly too. We absolutely would love to come back! Thank you so much again

A beautiful home, perfect for our family early Christmas get together. Meredith went above and beyond to decorate the home, Christmas tree and all, to make us feel at home. Amazing kitchen - enjoyed by the cooks in the family.

This was a magical experience for our family. We immediately felt so comfortable in this beautiful top of the line home. No expense was spared when this home was built. We spent Thanksgiving here and were able to replicate all of our traditions. The kitchen made you want to prepare a feast, which we did. The amenities were abundant. The entire house was more than we could have imagined. Each bedroom had its own full bathrooms which were spotless and well appointed. The decor of the entire home had us in awe. The antiques and artifacts as well as the design in every square foot of the house was done so tastefully and obviously done with such love for the home. And the grounds! Stunning. Well maintained and so picturesque. From the wild horses to the babbling stream, the peaceful and serene environment was everything we were looking for. There is so much more that I can say about this home and host but have no space left. Thank you Kristin and hope you will have us back!

Perfect place for our family gathering for a bridal shower event. Plenty of space to enjoy each other. Kelly was a super host and very helpful. Would highly recommend. Very peaceful surroundings and close to town

We spent six great weeks at Fabien and Christy's cottage while relocating to the area. We loved everything about our time there including the very comfortable bed and furniture and the well stocked kitchen. We were there during a very cold stretch and the house stayed warm and cozy. The wood burning stove was a fun treat on cold snowy days. Fabien and Christy were wonderful hosts making sure we had everything we needed and helped with information about the area. We spent a lot of time exploring the beautiful property with our dog. It's a very peaceful spot and still only a short drive to many towns with lots of great restaurants and shopping. I would definitely recommend Fabien and Christy's cottage to anyone looking for a short or long stay in the area.

We stayed at the property for a weekend trip. It was great for a quiet relaxing trip with wide open spaces at the property and surrounding area but still close enough to get places. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Litchfield and about 5 minutes from downtown Washington. The backyard is huge and great if you have dogs. The scenery from the house and along the neighborhood was beautiful. Also was only a 5-10 minute drive to a couple of nature preserves for hiking. The fireplace in the house is functional and was great during the cold winter nights. Marc was also very responsive to any questions we had. There were a few furniture pieces that could use an update but overall, if you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful trip located in one of the most beautiful parts of Connecticut we would definitely recommend.

We had such a lovely time in the silo. The bed was super comfy, the view beautiful, and the lodging so unique. Super close to some nice hiking spots. Robert had some really great recommendations! We were joined by many lucky ladybugs. This might not be the place for you if you have a fear of spiders but we appreciated the company and just being in nature with all the amenities of home.

Fantastic stay! The house was absolutely beautiful, plenty of space and very kid friendly. Scott & Jennifer were excellent hosts, replied quickly and were extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure our family had a wonderful weekend.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Stephen & Rudy's zen Cabin, it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived to see the breathtaking waterfall outside through our entire stay, all details were thoughtfully looked after. The house was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail throughout the home, such as the high-quality kitchen and the cozy fireplace. While the home was perfectly on point, it was the communication with Stephen himself that went above and beyond. We actually live one town over and were having work done at our house, therefore in need of a home away from home for several nights. Stephen was extremely responsive and even checked in to see how our house-work was going. We will definitely be back (for a staycation)!!

Hazel’s home is a charming, old New England house located on a pretty property with a lovely pond view. As we were there for Thanksgiving, we didn’t have a chance to spend any time in the fabulous outdoor grill/dining/relaxation space that others have mentioned. I’ll bet it’s wonderful in the summer when all the shrubs and flowers are in bloom. The bathrooms and kitchen are new and have everything that one could wish for. Beautiful bay picture window in the living room overlooking the lawn and pond. The beds are very comfortable. Hazel responded promptly to any communication. Our only difficulty was finding the house in the dark. We were tired after a long drive and she walked us through that. She could not have been more concerned about our comfort.

Coziest place imaginable. Tons of places to congregate, walk, eat and sleep. Wendy is always responsive and a joy to communicate with. We will keep coming back as long as they will have us

The house and property was absolutely incredible, from the stunning views to the comfortable house. We truly enjoyed our time, and would definitely come back again.

This was our second week long stay at Chee-Chee’s place. He is a great host and the house is spacious and comfortable. Views of Putnam Lake are beautiful and our dogs enjoyed the yard! Thank you!

Loved every minute! What a fantastic rental- far exceeded our expectations…jacuzzi/pool was incredible, I was so surprised how perfectly hot it was given how big it is! We had it at 104 and it was so fun to be in the pool in the winter. The house is so charming, so much character and the property is gorgeous. Great recommendations for restaurants in the book and lovely welcome treats (honey, maple syrup, wine) and gorgeous linens and bath products. Fun ping pong for the kids and lots of yard games! We will be back for sure!

Charming farmhouse on a vast property. Anne is a wonderful host, very communicative and easy to deal with. She was kind enough to show our kids around the farm and teach them a bit about ducks. The surrounding area is lovely. All in all this place worked out great for us.
