The Katawud Village campsite/glampsite is located in the Maroon community of Ginger House in the Rio Grande Valley, Portland, in the Blue & John Crow Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Site - 35 minutes from Port Antonio. We have comfortable tents, sleeping bags, an open-air bamboo pavilion, river beach, rain/spring water pool, Maroon jerk fusion cuisine, bar, juicebar, farmers market, craft market, edutainment stage, playground, bathrooms, games, Wi-Fi, cable TV, charging ports, and parking.

Convenient Stay

Calm, cool, casual. This space perfectly embraces the beauty of Port Antonio. The space is a five minute drive from the nearby beach that can be seen in the photos. It is also 5 minutes away from the Port Antonio town where you can get to the restaurants, shopping centers etc. You can literally stand at the driveway and get a taxi to go wherever you want. Also, I have a dog living on the property, her name is Hillary, she's harmless. Once you give her a nice belly rub you can make her day.

backpacks advised,200 steps uphill from carpark..small studio cottage with outdoor shower..verandah.lots of windows..partial sea and garden view.we appreciate if guests give us an approx. time of arrival to help us better plan our day..we are easier to find before dark(6pm)and prefer guests arrive before 9pm if possible...please smoke outside,thanks. .hot water only ifon stove.. cottage is not completely sealed and the occasional lizard or spider is there to control moskitos and ants

Dad's place is a very tranquil cottage located a few minutes away from the famous Boston jerk center also Boston beach not to mention Winifred beach which is on the top ten beaches in the world , dad's place is located in a quiet comfortable neighborhood located in Fair Prospect heights,its very peaceful and boast a beautiful scenic view of the Caribbean sea. Lovely property with fruit tree's. upon arrival guest will be greeted by our co-host who will gladly assist with any queries

Cabin close to Winnifred beach (Charlies Place)

If you value privacy, safety and comfort this is the place for you. The cottage is purpose built and self contained within easy walking distance of the famous Blue Lagoon and Winnifred Ecobeach. There is a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with a verandah which looks out onto the garden. You have sole use of the space. We are in a rural village just off the main coastal road and perfect to enjoy the natural beauty of East Portland.

The Parish of Portland has so many wonderful things - something for everyone.  From surfing at Boston Bay, rafting on the Rio Grande, there is also Blue Lagoon (expected to re-open June 1, 2023) and Reach Falls (temporarily closed for upgrading). Relaxing at the various bars, eating the world famous Boston jerk pork or chicken and getting to know the amazing people of Jamaica.
