Located on a beautiful homestead in the 'Bohemie Alps.' Walk up the hill to our 24' yurt, set with beautiful views overlooking the farm and Iowa countryside. Furnished with 2 full/queen beds, pull out couch, clean linens and towels. Set up with electricity and temp control. A true glamping experience in the heartland. The Henhouse Retreat is a beautifully restored 2 bedroom home converted from an original henhouse on our property. With breathtaking country views out every window you are sure to find this country retreat relaxing and enjoyable with many things to do close by like fishing, hiking, and a bike trail. Cute little towns to explore or cuddle up with a book & enjoy relaxation that comes with a deep breath in the country. Come as a family, some couples, or a little getaway, this home sleeps 7.

The Lincoln Highway Hideaway

The Lincoln Highway Hideaway is a studio apartment nestled in Belle Plaine along the historic Lincoln Highway. A former Maid Rite restaurant, it features two queen-sized beds, a 3/4 bathroom with shower, and private parking. We focus on short term stays, although we sometimes rent a month at a time to traveling workers. (Please message me ahead of time with details if this situation pertains to you.) We offer a 15% discount/week. 40% per month.

Our little cabin in the woods is a great place for couples to relax, reflect and connect. Nestled on 115 acres of land, there are many trails to explore throughout the woods. Enjoy watching wildlife, laughing around a fire, sitting on the front porch watching the sunset, reading, playing games, and stargazing.

Welcome to The Hideaway on Hazel. Refreshed in May 2025. Our home is centrally located in Ames and is an easy walk to Jack Trice Stadium, Hilton Coliseum, and Reiman Gardens. Great location for football games, basketball games, and any other events at The Iowa State Center.
