Upton Hill Cottage | A peaceful escape

Upton Hill Cottage is self-catering farm-stay accommodation 16km into the Strathbogie Ranges from Avenel. It is surrounded by vineyards, cherry orchards, farmland & replanted & remnant bush. At 475m ASL the cottage has panoramic views of the ranges & Goulburn Valley. Guests can meet the animals, ramble, birdwatch, cycle, observe native flora & fauna, fish, do scenic tours, marvel at the ancient granite formations of the unique Strathbogie batholith, & enjoy local wineries, music & restaurants.

Lakehouse Estate is on 3 acres with private lake.

Lakehouse Estate is a newly completed home on 3 acres with private clear lake forming the centre piece. 4 of the 6 modern bedrooms each with ensuites over look the lake and face east so the sunrises are spectacular. If not a morning person simply hit the button and the auto block out blinds come down. The kitchen opens up to the lake across a large deck with BBQ. With your own mini beach, gym, large av room and separate kids room all will be entertained or escape and find your peace and quiet.

The Bird and Bike

This little flat, built into the end of our shed, is simple but quirky. Don't expect all brand spanking new plates and cutlery from Ikea - we've upcycled almost everything (except linen and towels). Set 30 metres from the main house, you'll have privacy to come and go as you please, but we love a chat if you do too! We're on 5 acres. Birdlife is right outside your door (- often including our chickens!). We're ten minutes walk from a beautiful estuary beach and 4km out of Marlo township.

Mallacoota Magic, 3 acres on Lake, Wi-Fi, King Bed

Enjoy a campfire or watch the moon rise over the lake as you soak in a deep bath on our three acres overlooking the magnificent Mallacoota inlet. Recharge in the natural world with Roos, Lyrebirds and Eagles & forage in the garden. Stroll to the water, take out a Kayak, catch dinner or just watch the swans and pelicans go about their day. Wander to town via the picturesque lake boardwalk - it'll take around 30 minutes. Alternatively, the drive is just five Welcome to Mallacoota Magic.

Please note the vehicular ferry is out for maintenance from Nov 10 til Dec 7. During this time we can collect you from the passenger ferry. Wide open spaces, fresh sea air and no crowds. Transport yourself to a 2- storey Hansel and Gretel style cottage in a forest by the water on an island where you can see koalas and wildlife up close in their natural environment. Only 4 hours from Melbourne. We are very sorry pets are not permitted here due to the sensitive nature of the wildlife.
