Welcome to River Rail Retreats Deluxe Brown Cabin (formerly The Nest at Palisades) Down a private lane, nestled amidst 5 acres of woods, you'll find 3 Cabins available to rent. The Property & Cabins have undergone New Ownership and extensive remodeling, with brand new furnishings, appliances, & decorations. While located in a country setting, you are still close to Downtown Savanna, Mississippi River, & Palisades State Park. This is a perfect retreat for a blend of tranquility and rustic charm.

The excitement of camping with all the comforts! Outdoor grilling area with picnic table, queen size bed in the loft, 2 recliners & TV/dvd, AC/heat, sink, microwave & mini fridge. Kitchen service for 2, basic cooking essentials, towels & bedding. Well kept private port-a-john outside cabin & outdoor shower is close by at north end of store (no toilet inside cabin) Bring bikes to ride the “Great River Trail”. Camp store & kayak/canoe rentals (through Oct 1st) on site! No pets No smoking please.

Enjoy a stay directly on the backwaters of the Mississippi River. This custom cabin is floating right on the water, and you won't find anything like it! Grab your loved one or friend and surround yourself in nature, while soaking in the hot tub on the floating patio, or in the beautiful tub inside. Relax in the king size bed thats in front of one of the two fireplaces. The cabin has everything you need, including a small kitchen. This floating oasis is located at Millennium Marina.

Grill and crack a cold one in comfort with your family and friends after a long day in the woods or fishing on the Mississippi River. Also located near is the Maquoketa River where you can enjoy kayaking, rent tubes, hunt waterfowl, or sit on the bank and toss a line. We are just a quick driving distance from Bellevue and Sabula, IA in which both have boating access, restaurants, and taverns. Yes, boats are welcome! Brick walkway leads to the cedar deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the large backyard. Enjoy dinner out on the deck and roast marshmallows over a bonfire at the firepit. The dark sky provides excellent stargazing. Kitchen features full-sized refrigerator, cooking utensils and a variety of spices. Spacious bathroom with a waterfall-style shower.
