Cooinda Cottage is set on the historical Cooinda homestead site first established in 1876 by Sir Frederick McCoy. He named it “Cooinda” an aboriginal name for a “place of happy meetings”The property is located on the golden mile just past the township of Mt Macedon and nearby to Hanging Rock. It is surrounded by botanical parkland gardens, with the sounds of birds and wildlife with nature at its best amongst this private secluded haven, with some of the oldest and largest trees in Mt Macedon.

An EXTRA 4 ppl can be accommodated externally to the main house. The A frame hut sleeps two (unheated). An additional 2pp riverside bungalow room with french doors and it’s own deck by the river. Book for 8 people to unlock all rooms. No pets, no parties or camping. Quite after 12am.
