We marveled everyday, in deep gratitude, at the pure delight of staying in Adeline’s villa. It was magic. It really was. The private pool is immaculate and its temperature always perfect. The hosts were gracious in their flexibility, and so generous with their time and guidance, while fully protecting our space and privacy. The entire staff was always ready to serve in the most sweet-natured and unobtrusive ways. There are “fancier” places in Pemuteran, but in our week of exploring that marvelous area, we never saw anything that came close to the special qualities of Adeline’s place. I’ll unhesitatingly recommend to family and favorite friends.

We had an incredible stay at Villa Jahe in the Sumberkima Hill Retreat. The villa is beautifully designed, blending traditional Balinese architecture with modern comfort. The view over the bay and surrounding hills is absolutely breathtaking – especially during sunrise and sunset. The villa feels very private and is perfect for relaxing. The private pool was a highlight – always clean and surrounded by nature. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. The outdoor bathroom is a special touch and made the experience even more unique. Staff were kind and helpful. Communication before and during the stay was smooth, and they assisted with booking massages, meals, and transport. The food at the retreat’s restaurants was excellent – fresh, healthy, and beautifully presented. This place is a bit off the beaten track, which is exactly what we wanted. If you’re looking for peace, nature, and a bit of luxury in the north of Bali, Villa Jahe is the perfect spot.

Wir haben vier Schlafzimmer gebucht und sind im Haus mit zwei Schlafzimmern und dem angeschlossenen Nebengebäude mit zwei weiteren Einheiten sehr gut mit allen Personen untergekommen. Die Unterkunft eignet sich daher auch optimal für größere Gruppen wie zum Beispiel ein Familientreffen um einige Tage in der Stadt zu verbringen und für Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung.

Our stay was amazing. Very peaceful and lots to do in the resort itself. Very nice restaurants with super friendly staff and tasty food. Fair prices. Amazing pools and even a small gym. If you want to zone out - this is your place. The house itself was the perfect place to chill and look at the ocean. We had a great time. Thank you!

We had the most amazing stay at Purwa Ijen! our Jungle View bungalow looked just like the photos! Kak Irna has been very helpful throughout our stay, helping us booking transportation as well as guide to hike Mount Ijen (Mas Riki was very professional and friendly!) and sharing suggested walk routes around Purwa Ijen (including to Agathis Forest!). Mas Wisnu, the caretaker of Purwa Ijen, was super helpful and responsive everytime we had a question. I should add that their smoothie bowl for breakfast is yummy. One more thing: the bathroom was spotless and squeaky clean (must say that bathroom is my pet peeve when traveling). DO BOOK YOUR STAY HERE :) WE TOTALLY RECOMMEND! Purwa Ijen is a perfect home base to explore Ijen area! Thank you so much Kak Irna and Mas Supandi!

This is the best money I’ve ever spent on accomodation. A luxury retreat with friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and any questions we had were answered within minutes. It felt like we were alone on the mountain and never wanted for anything. The view was incredible, from our villa to both incredible restaurants and the communal pool. Artisanal toiletries and home-made local food were provided at every turn. A very environmentally conscious retreat. Definitely check out Senja restaurant, the best Indonesian food we’ve had on the island. An amazing experience and would definitely book again.

Eine absolut wunderschöne Villa. Die Aussicht vom Pool ist einmalig und die Ausstattung selbst sehr geschmackvoll. Wir sind sehr traurig, dass unser Aufenthalt dort schon vorbei ist und würden gerne wiederkommen!
