Tawharanui Peninsula/Matakana Escape

Welcome to my hidden gem, surrounded by native bush with a breathtaking view of Millon and Kawau Bays. Perfect for a winter escape... relax by the cosy fire with a book, enjoy BBQs on the deck weather permitting, or simply listen to the sound of native birds. The bay can be accessed directly from the property via some steps. It's only a short drive to Tāwharanui Regional Park, Matakana Village for cafes, restaurants, cinema and the famous Matakana Saturday Markets, Omaha Beach and Goat Island.

Kawau Seaview Escape

We would love to share our Island house with you if you are looking for a bit of adventure or solitude in a beautiful setting in the bush away from mainland NZ. The views over Schoolhouse Bay from our deck are breathtaking & the calls of the native birds are music to the ears. Our house is in a very private setting nestled in the bush but handy being only 5 mins walk up the hill from the main Schoolhouse Bay wharf. We are half an hours walk away from the Historic & beautiful Mansion House .

A perfect island getaway! Kawau Island -1 hour drive from Auck to Sandspit, a 40 min boat ride to Smelting House Bay. 'The George' is a 5 minute walk from Lidgard Wharf. Come by ferry or your own boat. The George is set amongst the ferns & native flora, getting late morning sun. See wekas and wallabies on your walks. This tiny home is anything but ordinary. It is positioned in a sheep paddock on a large rural property, right between the popular destinations Omaha Beach and Matakana Village. The Scandinavian styled house is small but practical, with a kitchen equipped with all the necessities. The large folding door opens onto a deck where you can stretch out, catch some sun, BBQ, read a book or just have some time enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
