No TV. Winter Heating/hot blankets. Rhodes is the only complete village in S.A. that is a National Monument.

Mount Melsetter is excited to introduce The Old Workshop. Lovingly renovated and restored to embrace it's heritage, this little gem provides the perfect stopover and Karoo experience. Exquisite sunrises and sunsets, an abundance of Blue Cranes and the wide open skies of the Karoo make this an ideal retreat. The Old Workshop has one bedroom (king bed) with an en suite bathroom. The adjoining Tool Box has a double bed and bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen and Braai. Meals provided on request.

Den Hagen Guest Farm - The Cobblers

The cobblers is built from local river stone and adjoins the shared lounge and games room for easy access. The Cobblers is a studio type accommodation which combines the living and bedroom area in one open plan space. There is a separate area for the kitchen and bathroom. It has wooden flooring and a Queen Anne fireplace for those chilly evenings often experienced in Rhodes. The side veranda area has breath taking view of the Carlisle Hoek valley. Free access to hikes and picnic spots.

Ladybrow Cottage is located on the farm, Welgevonden, at the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountain Range. a self-catering stone cottage, perched on a bank which gently slopes down to the dam. The most ideal location for either relaxing away from it all or a dream location for a trout angler. The fireplace provides a warm, cosy atmosphere. A magnificent view of the dam from the large window has the perfect backdrop of the breath-taking Drakensberg Mountains.

Die Tuinhuisie is a comfortably furnished self-catering unit for 2 people in Elliot. The unit comprises of a bedroom with a double bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, an electric frying pan, a fridge, as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities. Outdoor braai facilities are provided, and covered parking is provided behind an electronic gate. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

The Tree House Coffee Shop and Guesthouse Room 4

Set on the edge of a small bluegum tree forest on the edge of town. You have the benefit of being close to shops and restaurants but feel like you are in nature. Safe and secure parking with spacious units complete with a kitchen. You can do self catering or ask us to cook delicious meals for you. All meals are an additional cost. Breakfast is served in the Coffee Shop, please arra the age of 12 with prior arrangement.

Steele's house is a typical, rustic Rhodes house. The house is over 100 years old with rustic, old furnishings. Steele's house has a large garden with an excellent view of the mountains. The Bell River runs not far from the garden. The house has an AGA stove for warmth in winter.
