Dales Way access path across the road.

The owners have 2 cocker spaniels so dont mind clients bringing one well behaved pet on holiday too. Basic Breakfast supplies will be provided too.

Upside down stone Bothy on Marsden Moor

Long Fall Bothy is a gorgeous stone building on the outskirts of Marsden village in West Yorkshire. Perfect for a walking holiday, the Kirklees Way passes the property and the Pennine Way, Oldham Way are close by. A great place for mountain biking with the Transpennine Trail a few miles away and lots of cycle paths/trails on your doorstep. Local real ale pubs and plenty of cafes in Marsden village a short walk (15 minutes) along the canal. Beautiful scenery, views from the cottage are amazing.

The property is a beautiful maisonette at Station House, an iconic grade 2 listed former railway station built in 1841 .The history of the building can still clearly be seen; indeed your accommodation is in the old waiting rooms overlooking the station platform. Tours of the rest of the site may be available on request, including the old goods shed. Guests have access to the public footpath/cycle way adjacent to the property along the old railway line.

Contained within a converted 19th century Chapel/School this modern single ground floor annex provides a restful haven for weary travellers. With its own private courtyard and outside fireplace there's a feeling of peacefulness inside and out. And if you're into walking and taking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, then look no further, you could start with the Calderdale Way or the stunning North Yorkshire National Park which is only an hours drive away.
