Gorgeous views, great location, the hot water was actually hot (unlike other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in), the hot tub was ready to go, the host left us snacks. It was just such a wonderful experience. We will be coming back. If I had to pick ANY cons, I’d be really reaching. You are one of four yurts (we didn’t realize we would have “neighbors” but it’s set up in such a way that you still have privacy.). Also, you are close to the road so occasionally you will hear cars, but the sound of the river much overpowers that. Plan for no reception; we were fine with that. We plan to come back again with 2 more couples. I will definitely miss falling asleep to the sound of the river Now, what I wish I would have known as a car geek - we accidentally went through Tail of the Dragon on the way there. Had no idea it was here. Was sad to have a big ole SUV riding that instead of my sports car! Plan accordingly. :)

This house provided everything me and 7 other fellas for a friend reunion quite well. The home is well-stoked with nearly everything you need in the kitchen and for entertainment. Beautiful views. Isolated enough to feel quite private from neighbors. The host was proactive in sending messages to check in making sure no issues arose. Even better, very simple checkout instructions without feeling like I had to scrub the place. We were able to leave it in nice condition and let a cleaning team come in to do their work. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was exactly how the listing and reviews said it would be…perfect. There were plenty of rooms, nice beds, and stuff to do for everybody (billiards, ping pong, horse shoes, corn hole, etc). The hot tub was huge, clean, and worked great. We all had a super time.

We loved staying at ‘Smawlie’! The view was unbeatable and it felt so nice to take a break from every day hustle & bustle. I personally loved not having cell service at the cabin. It was spotless, had all of the listed amenities, and was exactly as described. Though tucked far back into the ‘middle of nowhere’, getting to the cabin via Mike’s provided instructions was easy. Not having service in the area, this was very important. We opted to hike up to the cabin despite having 4WD just because it is THAT steep and gravel. The weather was grey and a little cloudy when we arrived but the view did not disappoint. In the morning we got to watch the fog lift and the sun come through. The only grievance I had was some trouble with the hot tub. When we arrived at 3pm after a cold and rainy hike, the hot tub was cold. We followed the directions provided to “reset” and heat it up. we did not get to use it until the morning, and only for a short bit. Luckily, Mike let us check out a bit late

DON’T miss your chance to experience the magic of the River Love barn. Kangee’s EXCEPTIONAL hospitality throughout our time in her home set the tone for the entirety of our stay. Her attentiveness & genuine warmth made us feel right at home. The beauty of this property is truly beyond words. While the photos online are stunning, they don’t fully capture the enchanting atmosphere that envelops you as soon as you step onto the grounds. Our favorite spots were the clawfoot tub, perfectly nestled in a private, serene area of the property & the outdoor hammock within the screened in back deck. Kangee truly brought the outside in with her thoughtful design. Even on a rainy day- the sky lights during a storm that had passed through was such a reminder of the cozy atmosphere that permeates the barn. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway or a relaxing family trip, the River Love Barn is a hidden gem that I cannot recommend enough. We left feeling refreshed & inspired, with hearts full.

Stunning setting overlooking a beautiful lake; just minutes from town. Very private setting. Loved the history of the cabin- so authentic to the area.

Larry was incredibly responsive and helpful. Generous host and the perfect spot for a cousins' get together!

Amazing property. We recently visited for a week and could have spent much more time there. Everyone loved it. Kids were never bored, there is so much to do. We spent 3 full.days without leaving. Trails, fire pits, hot tub, zip line, Challenge run, swing, climbing structure, tether ball, horseshoes, corn hole and more outside. Ping pong, air hockey, Xbox, games, etc indoors. We went to Highlands for zip lining and Mountain coaster. Explored a few local waterfalls and did a fishing trip with a Franklin trout fishing guide. Wonderful stay. Ricky was always easily reachable and responsive.

This would be my second staying here.. The view is still awesome. Went for a walk and the wife freak out when me and the son (12) was not back by dark....(great for the day hikers). They helped calm the wife down... enough of that... anyways the area is great the view from the cabin is the best, and and his wife will stay clear and leave you to yourself but will be there is you should them....great...stay

Great place nestled away from the hustle and bustle but minutes away from several towns!

Another relaxing and peaceful stay at Anna's home. The exceptional location close to downtown Highlands is perfect. A quality furnished and well equipped home is what continues to be our go to place when in the area. Anna is and has always been accommodating and responsive. We highly recommend and certainly will stay again.

Todo de primera, super especificado los caminos hasta la casa, muy limpio y organizado todo, super relajante lugar la verdad es que llega el dia y da tristeza regresar , Tom fue muy servicial , tenia todo lo que necesitamos, nos vamos super contentos , estabamos cerca de Gatlinburg y vimos la nieve regresamos contentos, gracias Melissa y Tom😊😊😊

This tiny mountain home was perfect for our Thanksgiving this year. We enjoyed living the mountain life for a few days while we woke up to gorgeous views, roasted marshmallows by the fire and spent the day playing in the woods until it was time to watch the sunset over the mountains. A 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property due to the steep driveway. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials and with a few groceries from Ingles, I was able to cook meals for my family all week. The beds were comfortable. The area was quiet. The neighbors were friendly. We will be back! Thank you Susan and Katie!

Place was extremely clean,close to main st highlands but far enough away to be quiet, Becky responded within a few minutes, had a fantastic time in highlands and surrounding area,we travel to highlands often, first time using a airbnb loved it!!Becky's a great host to work with.

The home and Tara were great! The space was perfect for our large family - the loft playroom in particular was wonderful for 7 kids to play in and allow the adults to still have a separate space where there was some relative calm. It is remote but still accessible to Cashiers, and we went on several excursions to nearby hikes and waterfalls. We very much enjoyed our holiday there.

Linda's cabin is even more beautiful than the pictures portrayed. We had such a great weekend here. Linda was beyond kind and helpful. She had amazing suggestions for places to visit. The property is so peaceful and serene. I would recommend this stay to anyone wanting a getaway and to enjoy all the nearby parks and rivers. There is so much to do nearby or just do nothing at all and enjoy nature. We left feeling recharged and relaxed

Amazing spot along a beautiful creek. We really enjoyed spending our mornings and evenings on the balconies with the peaceful sounds of birds and the rushing water. Great location near so many attractions - waterfalls, trails, scenic overlooks, restaurants in Highlands and over the GA border. The Airbnb and whole area was incredibly dog friendly, our pups had a great time taking it all in with us. We certainly hope to come back!

We loved this space and location! This was the perfect house for a family with two small kids (5 & 2). Lots of games, training potty and pack n play in The closet of the primary bedroom. Sunset was prefect from the deck and Glenville is such a nice spot right outside of Cashiers. We tried The Local Glenville which was AMAZING. It’s new and you have to try it! Laid back, great food and nice outdoor space. Definitely will be visiting Glenville again!

We stay here every fall and are always very happy with our stay. We love the home and the location. Richard and Nancy are always available if we need them.

Great little place tucked away in the mountains. The view and landscape (garden, birds, etc) is wonderful. Like everyone says it’s like staying at grandmas house. It was very clean and kept up.

We had another amazing stay at Chris' home in Highlands. The home is very clean and fully stocked with everything you could ever want. The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of games and activities for kids and adults alike. The views of the golf course and mountains really are spectacular. The neighborhood is very quiet, but close to the town center. Chris is responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Highlands

We have stayed at the cabin a few times and will keep coming back! We enjoy the quiet and proximity to town and hiking.
