Brilliant stay, perfect location for exploring the peaks. Accommodation was small, but everything you needed was inside. Hot tub was a brilliant way to relax after a long days walking. Lovely local pubs/restaurants all within walking distance. Jill even allowed us to check in early which was brilliant. Wouldn’t highly recommended

I booked on Friday afternoon and arrived on Saturday, so was all very last minute, Liz kept in touch and met us there to show us around. Place is very dog friendly. Liz also checked in with us during our stay to see if all was ok. We went for lovely walks and spent time in the spa to relax in the evening, just what we all needed, will be recommending to my friends and family 10/10 many thanks 😊

Gwen and Mark were both always friendly and warm on interaction, particularly on arrival and check in. Both were really helpful when it came to warming the hot tub and quick responses if we had any questions. Thank you for a perfect stay ☺️ Alex and Emma

Wonderful place to stay, we loved every minute. Perfect spot to relax, enjoy the scenery and a great base for exploring the Saddleworth villages and surrounds. Some lovely restaurants nearby and of course some great pubs, all within easy walking distance.

We escaped from the world for 24 hours - literally let ourselves into the enclosed garden and didn’t leave until it was time to check out! The photos are a completely accurate reflection of the space - it’s peaceful, enclosed and you feel like you’re getting away from it all. The shepherd’s hut is very cute but also well equipped and comfortable. There was some rain in the night which just made it feel even cosier. Helpfully the hosts lit the fire for the hot tub before we arrived which was super helpful. It still look hours to heat fully but was totally worth it. We had a barbecue, toasted marshmallows and lazed in the hot tub. The very best part for me was floating on the water late into the evening, looking up at the sky and twinkling fairy lights and feeling very relaxed. The only even vaguely negative thing was needing to walk through the garden to get to the bathroom cabin - but you don’t book a shepherd’s hut and expect an en suite do you. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This place is so beautiful, I’m really glad I chose it for my wedding eve. We were surrounded by gorgeous animals - sheep, lambs, hens and even deer in the morning. The place is so light and spacious with everything you could need including fresh eggs! Susan was really helpful, accommodating and very responsive to messages. Thank you for a wonderful time, your place is amazing.

We had such a lovely family weekend at the Hobbit House. It is set in the most amazing garden that is wonderful to explore. Our two boys enjoyed going to see the chickens on a morning and collecting the eggs. They also loved the guinea pigs and have requested that we should get some :) The Hobbit House itself is really cool and well made. The online guide is a great help! The little door is a fab feature and was a hit with our boys. Inside was very cosy and had plenty of amenities for a weekend. It was the perfect size for a family of 5 with two small children and our chihuahua. We added on the hot tub which was a great extra, it felt like you were relaxing in the middle of a forest! The local area was also great. We ate out at some of the recommendations (The Duckworth Arms, The Drop off Cafe and Eagle and Child) in the guide and the food was amazing! Overall, The Hobbit House was even better than expected and we hope to return in the future! Thank you for the perfect weekend! :)

The container was in a beautiful setting. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was stunning. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle, but we were still within walking distance of the town centre which was great. The container was very homely! Although my tiny car did struggle getting over the bumpy gravel by the gates as it’s a steep hill up to the accommodation. I couldn’t complain because the views and peacefulness of the farm was very relaxing. I’d 100% recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway to the Peak District. It’s was also short drives to all the local attractions and walks the Peak District has to offer.

Had a lovely weekend here. Being so close to all the sheep and the horses was so nice. Hut clean & tidy. Views of sunset in the hot tub - beautiful. We ate at Sasso, about 15 minutes drive away, the nicest Italian food with amazing cocktails.
