Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. Nature permitting, you can star gaze while soaking in the outdoor bath, spot the milky way, or our very own glow worms. 15mins drive to CBD and Eat street, Gondolas, Canopy Tours, Hobbiton approximately an hour away.

The lake Haus

You can relax with family and friends at this peaceful place to stay. A modern house over looking farmland and lake Maraetai. Recently renovated with a new kitchen, bathroom, double joinery, large deck, spacious lawn with a trampoline, 6 person spa pool, outdoor heater, bbq and patio fire. Heating and air con inside with two heat pumps. Short walk to the local shops, playgrounds, mountain bike tracks and lake. Plenty of driveway parking for cars and a boat. Situated in a Quiet cul de sac.

Views over Whakaipo Bay

Our home sits high on a hill with amazing views over Lake Taupo and the surrounding countryside. The two bedroom cottage has a separate lounge area with a well stocked kitchenette, heat pump and large deck plus a private patio. Just down the hill is Whakaipo Bay recreational area with calm swimming waters and access to the W2K track. Our home is perfect for anyone who is looking for a rural outlook only minutes from town. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view!

Basic kitchen facilities, TV and bathroom are all provided. What more could you want?

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

The quiet gettaway is a peaceful and private unit. Guests are able to feel at home and relax amongst nature. The unit faces a reserve full of trees that provide gorgeous sunset views. Tokoroa is an ideal location for travelers wanting to explore the central North Island. It is short driving distance to many great NZ attractions. The accommodation is located on the edge of a small and friendly rural town. Beautiful green Waikato country side with dairy farms are next to the reserve.
