Mesão Frio : locations de vacances avec cheminée

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Vila Poucha. The location was amazing close to Regua but away from the hustle and bustle. You do really need a car to make the most of this location, we walked up the hillside to the Quinta de Barca vineyard (2km hilly walk) we also got the train from Caldas do Moledo a couple of times (35 minutes walk along a busy road). We were looking for a quite relaxed place where we could cook meals and enjoy time together and we got it! The Quinta is massive very comfortably would sleep 4 or 5 people. There was a large dining room that we didn't even use, most eating outside or in the kitchen. We helped ourselves to fresh limes and pomegranates, and bought and drank the lovely wines left for guests. We couldn't find a BBQ or Kettle, so bought them and left for future guests. Our only improvement would be some additional garden furniture, the terrace and balcony are real sun traps and I struggled to get comfortable. We'd love to stay again!

Ficamos durante uma semana nesta casa e só temos a dizer coisas boas. Check-in rápido e flexível. Divisões espaçosas, casa impecavelmente limpa e muito bem equipada. Zona exterior bastante ampla e que contava com uma excelente piscina. Por fim, destaco a simpatia/disponibilidade da Catarina, que foi sem dúvida mais um dos pontos fortes desta estadia. Voltaremos com toda a certeza!

Un accueil extrêmement chaleureux dans un site remarquable. Tout est beau et agréable. La patronne du café en contrebas parle un peu français et propose quelques produits de première nécessité avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Sinon il faut penser à faire les courses avant, pour passer un séjour en toute tranquillité ! Nous recommandons cette location sans réserve !

Casa bastante espaçosa, tudo em boas condições. Excelente para um grupo de amigos pois tem um salão de jogos. Vista deslumbrante para o Douro. Único senão é apenas a acessibilidade pois tem uma subida muito íngreme. A vizinhança também é muito simpática. Recomenda-se!

Un endroit merveilleux avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée du Douro ! Nous n’avons pas pu profiter de la piscine mais nous aurions adoré car elle surplombe la vue sur toute la vallée, c’est sublime ! Les appartements sont très beaux, décorés avec goût et très bien équipés. Petit bonus pour le poêle qui permet de chauffer le soir, l’ambiance cocooning est ultra reussie ! Et surtout un grand merci pour l’accueil très chaleureux 🥰

We had never been to this area so we’re glad we rented a car in order to take a few side trips to some wineries. The place is modern, spacious and very clean. We especially liked the balcony overlooking the River. It would be helpful for more complete instructions in the “welcome book” for how to work appliances. We only used the washer/dryer but there are some great items to use in the kitchen. Beautiful apartment!

Je krijgt meer dan je ziet. Zeer rustig en in prachtige omgeving. De host is bescheiden en netjes. Uitmuntend. Minstens 6 sterren.

Die superschöne Anlage ist eine Oase im etwas trubeligen Umfeld der Stadt Vila Real. Ins und ihre Leute sind sehr freundlich und extrem nett, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Jeden Morgen wird frisches Brot ans Haus gebracht, toller Service, auch die tägliche Reinigung des Bungalows ist sehr angenehm. Die Gartenflächen sind sehr gut gepflegt, der Pool wird täglich gereinigt, das Wasser ist superklar und erfrischend. Unser Bungalow war geräumiger als es auf den Bildern aussah und durch die dicken Granitwände auch bei 33 Grad Außentemperatur wunderbar kühl. Die Ausflugstipps sind liebevoll gezeichnet und gut durchdacht. Alles in allem hatten wir zu viert eine wunderbare Woche bei Ines. Vielen Dank!

Fue una estancia muy agradable! Estaba todo súper limpio, algo que nosotros valoramos mucho! El tener donde aparcar el coche al lado de casa, con una plaza propia nos pareció fenomenal!

This is a lovely apartment with parking and elevator. The view from the balcony is stunning! Maria was very sweet and helpful. We had difficulty finding the location and Maria and I did not speak the same language so she had someone call me back that spoke English to help me find the location and answer any questions. Great location, great apartment. highly recommend :)

Fantastic apartment right in the heart of charming Vila Real. The place had everything we needed and was an important factor in our enjoyment of the city and our vacation. Highly recommended.

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

This is a large and beautiful apartment! It was super clean, and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook my own meals for the two nights I was there. Manuel expressed his wishes for me to be comfortable, and I was! He provided an excellent, savory pastry that I enjoyed for my two lunches while out exploring the Douru Valley. This accommodation is highly recommended!

This place is amazing! The property feels extremely private. There were 4 of us and we felt the house could easily have slept another 4. Everything was spotless. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend going to their restaurant in town, everything was cooked perfectly. The pool was great and we loved using the barbecue. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Honey House. Put a fado record on the turntable & drink your coffee or wine on the back patio while taking in the gorgeous views of the Douro Valley... bliss. The house is perfect combination of modern amenities & vintage touches. Buy homemade bread & pastries from the man that sells them from his van right outside your door most mornings. Spread some of the honey or jam Eduarda left for you on the fresh bread from the bread man. Enjoy some time down at the natural pool a short walk away. The little village is adorable. You really don't have to leave, but Amarante is only 20 minutes away & of course, plenty of wineries in the region. Eduarda is also great with communication. Friendly, helpful & quick to respond. One of my favorite Airbnb experiences, it was hard to leave.

Lovely, confortable and relaxing space. I stayed at this place for more than 2 months and I couldn't find a better place. The house is lovely, built with stone and wood, which creates a fantastic combination. The garden is lovely, quite inspiring. The house is full equipped, with everything that is needed for you to feel at home. The host, Manuela, still added a few more itens for you to feel totally welcome and mantained a wonderful relationship through out the stay. Highly recommended!

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

A nossa estadia foi muito boa! A casa é acolhedora, confortável e perfeita para grupos grandes como o nosso (éramos 8 pessoas). Estava tudo muito limpo e bem organizado, com todas as comodidades necessárias para nos sentirmos em casa. A localização é excelente e o anfitrião foi muito atencioso e prestável durante toda a nossa estadia. Recomendamos esta casa a quem procura um lugar agradável e acolhedor para passar uns dias!
