We came for the long weekend (15 of us) and had a blast. We loved the surrounding areas and went for a long walk, the trees, the views , the colours 💕💕💕. The had clear instructions and sticky notes everywhere and there was no confusion. We stayed up for the campfire late, used the hot tub, grilled our meat, and had the time of our lives. Even though we just stayed for one night it felt really long. We are grateful for Todd and Karen and their amazing place with beautiful interior details. Will recommend this place.

The cottage was clean and cozy and we had a lovely stay! Katrina was accommodating and friendly! I would highly recommend staying here, it has a lot to offer! A fenced in front yard was a bonus for our dog, the hot tub was a luxury and the wood burning fireplace added a special ambiance. It is peaceful being surrounded by trees and a conservation area and felt very private. The short walk to the lakefront was enjoyable. We definitely had a fabulous and relaxing time and wouldn’t hesitate to go back again!!

Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

I would 100% stay here again. The apartment was fantastic, extremely clean and cozy! We didn't have many concerns or requirements during our stay, so we didn't have much interaction with Marsha outside of our check in and check out instructions. Check in was super easy and directions were clear. Check out was also extremely simple and had extremely basic requests for checking out. If you are looking to stay in the area, I would for sure recommend staying with Marsha.

The cottage was really cute and perfect for a romantic week-end! It was cozy and with vinyls we could listen to some ambiance music. There was an LCBO near so we got really nice Ontario wines. Only down for us was the matress for my husband who has back problems. Me, I don't so it was ok. Ruth-Ann and Bobby were really responsive and nice. Très joli chalet pour une fin de semaine de couple. Un bon verre de vin, musique avec des vinyles et reste juste à profiter du patio.

We chose to cancel our trip to South Carolina due to the current USA administration's policies. We opted instead for an Ontario staycation and Highpoint Hideaway checked all of our boxes. It is so cozy and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove, the hot tub, the ambience and the natural setting. We went for some lovely walks and made all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. It was important to us to have our dog, and the cottage was a perfect spot for him. I highly recommend Highpoint Hideaway!

We had the most wonderful 2-night stay at The Nook, a beautifully converted barn that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful setting and the charming character of the property. The barn has been thoughtfully renovated—retaining its rustic charm while offering all the modern comforts you could want. The interior was cozy, stylish, and spotless, with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen, and lovely touches throughout that made it feel special. One of our favorite features was the dedicated meditation area, complete with yoga mats and calming décor—it was the perfect space to unwind and reconnect.

This historic log cabin is a jewel. Very tastefully decorated and well equipped. Plenty of living g space inside for fun gatherings. Dog friendly allowed for 6 of us and 2 dogs to have a fabulous Bruce Trail hiking weekend. The hot tub to soak tired muscles was a major bonus. Jacqueline and Shane were super responsive, patient and helpful.

We had a great stay at Stella’s place! Everything was as described. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location close to Bala and Gravenhurst. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Would stay here again!

From the private location, the acres of cedar trees and secret pathways to the wetlands and the singing frogs, baby goats and their gentle mama’s, the kindness radiating from Humble Ranch is tangible. The owners welcomed me by moving long and deep into presence clipping the goats feet 😅 donkey, horse and the strange and wonderful alpacas were nothing but gracious hosts as well. Loving it all. The cabin was complete and comfy. TV was a bonus! What a wonderful weekend! Gracias amigas 🥳

We stayed at the cabin 3 nights. I fell in love with this cabin from the moment I stepped in the door. So cute and beautiful surroundings! We lit the fire every night. And with no TV(which was great) gave us time to read, play games and I brought along my watercolour paints as well. The history or the cabin and reading the guestbooks told a lot of stories. The cabin was an art studio ❤️at one time as well! Ruby our fur baby loved the cabin as well. We will definitely return!

Enjoyed our stay at Glenn Burney Lodge. Owner was very helpful and communicative, proximity to restaurant was great, privacy and seclusion of cabin made us comfortable on a first trip with our dog that he wasn’t going to annoy others if he barked a lot (which he didn’t…yay!). Overall, a very positive experience.

The most perfect little place for a mini get away.

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin! Great location and very private. Perfect for our annual Autumn visit to the area to go to Algonquin Park, Huntsville and Screaming Heads. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very cozy... we truly had everything we needed. We were even greeted with a little basket of treats which was so sweet! Our kitty loved staying there as well. Leah's instructions were quite clear and she was very responsive to any questions we had. Our weekend was truly awesome, we would definitely love to come back!!!

Christine’s place was absolutely beautiful and literally perfect for a cottage long weekend. the pictures don’t even do it justice. the dock out looked such a beautiful lake, great for water activities!! the beds worked out perfectly for 5 people, thought u could definitely fit 7, maybe 8. the kitchen was equipped with quite enough, and the bathroom had sanitary products which was so convenient. there’s also a soft tub which was super warm and so relaxing, and an entire bar room with darts overlooking the water! we had so so so much fun here and it was seriously such a beautiful cottage, don’t let the lack of reviews fool you!! absolutely loved this so much:)

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. Everything from the check in to the amenities met our expectations. Would definitely recommend Alexanne cottage rentals for your getaway adventure. We feel totally relaxed and rested ! Excellent little place to stay, quiet quaint and away from the hustle and bustle. Hosts were super nice and went over everything with us to get us started. Everything was super clean and supplied. Would absolutely book again in future

We spent the weekend at Jenny’s cottage in the woods and honestly, we’re so grateful to experience this little slice of heaven. The decor and atmosphere Jenny has created is so cozy and peaceful - we feel in love as soon as we stepped inside the front door. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer! Jenny is very kind, responsive, and a fabulous host all around! :) Also her recommendation for Katrine Pizza was great! Amazing service and delicious food (+ a close drive to the cabin!) We hope to come back soon and are so appreciative of Jenny sharing her gorgeous cabin. Can’t say enough good things! 💖✨

Really nice place and very friendly host. It’s a beautiful spot for friends, couples or family with kids. A nice escape from the city for a weekend.

This was our third time staying at the Dream Cabin and each time is better than the last. Roman and Irina are the ideal hosts with their quick response times, easy check-in instructions, lovely hospitality and overall friendly people who never hesitate to answer questions or assist in any way. It’s truly a place of paradise and we will be revisiting for many more years to come. Thanks Roman and Irina!!

I had the best time at Sarah's place. It was so relaxing and and peaceful, I really needed to get away from the city and work and just take some time to unwind and relax. The beach cabin was a delight to stay in, everything was decorated so well and the hot tub and sauna helped us to decompress! There is a bbq to cook on and everything inside is spotless and pristine. It's a great place to visit for a girls trip or to reconnect with your partner! I can't wait to go back.

A hidden paradise. Just amazing! The cabin is a dream. It even looks so much nicer inside then on the pictures. Very clean and comfy. And outside- oh we just loved the private trails on their property, the dogs had the time of their life. This was just a perfect long weekend and we will be back in the summer for sure!!! Cant say enough great things about our stay this weekend. The property was very clean, it says a lot when an outdoor kitchen is more clean than most indoor kitchens. It was a cold night so it was nice to have an awesome fire pit and the room for sleeping stayed warm throughout the night. Excellent communication from the host throughout the whole process. Will definitely be back here and have already recommended to several friends. Thanks!!
