Jamaka was a great place to rest and feel the peace. We had an easy access to hikes starting in Algeria. For more hikes we gad to drive a bit (around 20 km to Dwarsriver) but this was ok. Delicious organic mangos straight from the farm paid back :) We like the house. Was speaceful and well equipped. Comfy bed, very good working wifi, could not feel any loadshedding ;) The place is much better than it look on the pictures and the are is simply beautiful! We would love to come back one day :)

I had a wonderful stay in the caravan - the location is awesome and serene, surrounded by Cederberg rocks. Manus was very friendly and helpful, and ensured I had everything I needed. The caravan is comfortable, the kitchen well equipped - no fridge however a coolbox with multiple ice bricks. The bathroom is a delight, built around the rocks. I definitely recommend, and will return.

After spending time in some remote locations, Tarantula Guesthouse was the perfect soft landing. The house is incredibly spacious, kept wonderfully cool in the heat, and felt like a true home away from home. We loved the lovely braai area and the pool, which were a hit for both us and our kids. The property is very private from the other cottages, which made it even more relaxing. The full kitchen and access to all DSTV channels added to the convenience, allowing us to unwind completely. We enjoyed our stay so much that we even requested a late check-out because we didn’t want to leave! Hendrina was exceptionally kind, and communication was seamless from start to finish. We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back. Looking forward to staying here again!

It was our third time staying at Melanie's place - we just love how peaceful it is and the house with the garden is just beautiful. The hot tub was great for us and the kids. Would recommend it to anyone who needs to get out of the city and in need of a peaceful retreat.

The stay at the Corbelled house was nothing short of magnificent. The photos don’t do it justice! The expansive environment and attention to detail in the home is amazing. A beautiful time warp. And Charlene - who runs the farm and cares for the guests is wonderful. Thank you!

A fabulous spot overlooking the Clanwilliam dam, offering superb sunsets and tranquility. We stayed in the lovely Lakeview house which is nice and spacious with private pool and with an outdoor braai under a big shady tree, which is just fantastic at sunset.

Though I did not have the pleasure of staying at Lizelle's highly rated place and enjoy that highly anticipated meal due to our ending up at the wrong location too late in the evening for a variety of reasons, I am very grateful to Lizelle that she was kind enough to allow a cancellation with a refund which, in turn, allowed us to choose a place closer to where we had ended up late evening and with a young kid. Thank you Lizelle. I hope to be able to stay at yours at some point in future :)

Such an amazing place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful nature around you. The house is the perfect combination of "farmhouse charm" and "modern". The house has everything you need and more. We spend a whole day on the "stoep" and the super comfortable daybed. Hope's instructions for getting to the farm and into the house was clear and easy to follow. I was sad to leave, but we will definitely be back♡

One of the best airbnbs I have ever stayed in. From the views, to the warmth of the home, to how wonderful the hosts communicated, I loved every moment of our short stay. Thank you again Jakkie we can’t wait to return!

This is the best Air bnb we have stayed at. The big farmhouse is beautiful, and the kids loved swimming and kayaking in the nearby vlei. There is also a large green lawn area to play soccer or other ball sports. We also enjoyed the hot tub which was nice and warm when we arrived. I loved the clean and crisp cotton linen and comfy beds. I highly recommend James' place. We will definitely be back! (also a perfect spot for star gazers)

Such a sweet spot nestled in the beautiful landscape of Rock lands. Lefras (and his doggo) we're the nicest hosts, very helpful and friendly and the house is full of charm. Sad we didn't get to stay there longer.

Wow! What an incredible location! Tony and Sharon were excellent hosts. Unfortunately we weren’t lucky with the weather conditions so we spend a bit of time indoors however we weren’t complaining at all as the bed was super clean, comfortable and warm. A very homey feel indeed! The information brochure in the room as well as recommendations by the hosts was also helpful for a walk that we did which was even more breathtaking! The property surrounding the bunkhouse also has a lot of beautiful walks for any busy bodies that don’t want to drive. And for the animal lovers, there are super cute cows roaming around, you might even get lucky and feed Star:) Fresh towels, clean bathroom and a great braai area equipped with everything you’d need for a braai/a stovetop dinner. We had an issue with hot water and they were very quick to resolve our issue, even offering a late checkout on Sunday as compensation!Thank you so much Sharon and Tony for making our first couples trip unforgettable xx

this was a great experience for the entire family! great space as advertised! great Breakfast and great tour and explanation of the rock art right next door. the hosts are great welcoming people highly recommend!

Lefras und Marijke sind sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber und hatten tolle Tips für die Umgebung für uns . Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und es gibt einen Grill . Die Wohnung ist wunderschön gelegen um die Ruhe zu genießen und gleichzeitig nah an Aktivitäten und Restaurants. Es gibt einen privaten See/Damn fußläufig (5 min) vom Haus. Hier kann man schwimmen und Kanu fahren. Definitiv empfehlenswert. Alles die Fahrt von über den Bergpass bis zum Haus ist atemberaubend.

This is an incredibly special place that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful city escape. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, and the house itself is a true gem—thoughtfully designed and beautifully styled, with every detail carefully considered. Anita, our host, was fantastic. She was incredibly responsive and provided us with excellent recommendations for local activities, including hikes, private wine farm visits, and much more. She even went above and beyond to help us retrieve an item we accidentally left behind. Truly, everything about this experience was a 10/10!

Das Zimmer war wirklich schön und sehr angenehm, da die Lage sehr gut war einfach zu erreichen. Benjamin ist ein sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Gastgeber. Das Frühstück was wir bekommen haben war wirklich beeindruckend und echt lecker. Ich würde immer wieder in die Unterkunft gehen.
