Tsubara was 100y old Machiya, we lovely restored all possible to original style using antique fittings & materials by traditional craftsmanship. We love Tsubara, we hope the guests too! You are cordially invited to embark on a genuine Kyoto living experience at "Kunitsukami" araka-tanaka (the Gion House ). "Kunitsukami" araka-tanaka is a traditional Japanese 'machiya' is centrally-located in Gion. It was designated in Gion historic district building by Kyoto City Gov. The house was built in 1892, and was completely restored under the supervision of Kyoto City Gov, and it was stand up for historical Gion principle. It is rented an entire house, and private!

NIjo tatami-style house.

My house is located close to the public transportation hub train station JR Nijo, subway and sight spot Nijo castle. It is suitable for young couples, families with children and older people to stay here for tourism. It is easy to take a bus from JR train Kyoto station for 20 minutes to get here. It takes around 10 minutes to Nijo castle by walking. The sight spots Arashiyama and the temple Kinkakuji are also close to the house. It is located in central city Kyoto.
