The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Our tiny house is located on 2 wooded acres in a quiet, rural setting with plenty of room for the entire family. We encourage use of the entire site for tent camping alongside the tiny house. Kitchenette w/outdoor grill, bathroom with clawfoot tub, stackable washer/dryer, central HVAC and complimentary Level 2 EV charging are just some of the amenities to be found.

We love sharing our farmstead with guests and also understand if guests prefer tranquil time to themselves. We are a 20 min drive to Dragon's Tooth, and 10 minutes to VA42 (Kelly Knob or the Keffer Oak).

Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Get away from it all when you stay among nature in this secluded off-grid tiny cabin in the forest, about 20 yards down the hill from our parking area. Complete with outdoor grill, fire pit, picnic table, well-maintained outhouse, miles of trails and a stocked catch and release pond. Approved extra guests are $10/day, and we have parking for two vehicles.
