We had an amazing few days at the most beautiful location and house! The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with all requests. The house was beautiful and fitted our three families perfectly. The location couldn't be better, and the kids loved riding their bikes out front and walk down to the playground. We loved being able to swim right at the doorstep and jump on the boat with ease. An amazing place!

Awesome location for lake activities, lake views from lounge and awesome upstairs deck! Loved it.

Delwyn and Sara were quick to respond to any communication. They obviously understood families as they supplied extra linen and towels. We appreciated being able to have our family dogs with us, and they had a great time too. We appreciated the offer of a late check out to enjoy the sunshine after an otherwise very wet and blustery stay.

We had a fantastic stay in Adrienne’s place whilst visiting family living close by. We enjoyed the family orientated spaces and the kids loved the pool and table tennis table. The kitchen allowed us to cook and dine altogether which was a really lovely thing to be able to do with our extended family and we enjoyed movies and boardgames in the evening afterwards. It’s a fab house and well worth the money🙌 Adrienne has all bases covered when it comes to kitchen equipment, utensils, consumables, towels, blankets etc. it really was a home away from home for us our only regret was that we couldn’t have booked it for longer. When we return we will definitely hoping we can book here again 🙏Many thanks to Adrienne again for sharing this special family space with us🙌

What a fantastic AirBnb in amongst amazing native bush across from Lake Tarawera. The house has beautiful surroundings and is a 2 min walk from the jetty if you have a little boat and there are hikes / walks around the lake. The house is about a 12 min drive from the Blue lake and a 25 min drive from the Rotorua city. The house itself is spacious, big three bedrooms a kitchen with a bar. The lounge has a fireplace and leads into a deck with views of the lake. Highly recommend.

Close to water, big and spacious. Well equipped for air BNB. our youngest loved the bunk bed room and the space invaders. We loved the games room. Only one usable pool cue though. Rotorua is cold this time of year so was grateful for a fireplace.

We were travelling over the long weekend with 4 adults and 2 dogs and this was the perfect place to stay especially if you have dogs. The views are fantastic and it is quiet and peaceful. The home is spacious and clean and decorated well, especially the plants. Carolyn was very responsive and a helpful host. We loved this place and would highly recommend it!

My friends & I had a marvellous stay. The place was perfect, great views & peaceful surroundings. It was lovely being on the deck, watching the birds & looking out onto Lake Rotoiti. We were there for mountains biking & paddleboarding on the lake. It is 20mins to the mtbike tracks. The instructions & local recommendations were great. If you want a peaceful stay in a fantastic location then this is the place to be. Many thanks to the owner :-)

A lovely place to stay with horses and fruit trees about although set very close to the New World (across the road) and town just a quick drive down the road. House was very clean and felt very cosy would recommend if staying in Opotiki.

Me & my partner absolutely LOVED staying here. John & Olivia were great hosts, very friendly, instructions were clear and smooth sailing while checking in & out. The house itself is well kept and we had everything we needed even things we didn’t think of. The location is quite secluded which we loved, nice and peaceful but also not far from town it was perfect, thanks so much to Olivia & John for having us 😊 100% recommend if you’re thinking of staying here!

Was ideally located for us for a family event at Ohope Beach. Amazing Ohope beach is just across the road, and the Wharf and Store/Cafe are easily walkable. The house has a really relaxed beach vibe with a fantastic deck to enjoy. Place was clean and tidy - really clean and fresh linen and well stocked kitchen. Weather was sensational - after a couple of nights really felt like we’d had a holiday. Thanks…

We had the most pleasant and comfortable stay. the place was immaculate, cozy, warm, quiet and had beautiful furnishings and fixtures. we felt so at home and happy during our stay.

We had a wonderful stay. Great place with plenty of room for family. Loved the sheltered outdoor area for a bbq and hanging out in the shade. Thanks for the stay. Would come again.

Melanie's place is beautiful, the home & view were amazing. It was perfect for our large group. There was a few really cool things that stood out from the lolly jar, kids toy/puzzles & books, also a few food items. Melanie had gone the extra mile to make our stay more special than it already was. Highly recommend this home & host. We will definitely book again in the near future

Gorgeous place. We met the friendly neighbour who filled us in about the history of area. Location was lovely. In true form my daughter left behind her iPad and the host was kind enough to arrange for this to be posted to us.

Beautiful property with idyllic surrounds. We stayed while participating in a running event and found it the perfect place to unwind after a hard morning! Very secluded and peaceful with all needed amenities + some added comforts. Would highly recommend and hope we can visit again!

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

This might sound like a bad review but it is not meant as such. It's so future guests aren't surprised. We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The chalet was perfect for a couple. Nice comfy firm bed, good kitchenette and ensuite. The chalet is on the grounds of a Christian camp facility for horse riding. The grounds are expansive. There's a small lake with kayaks for use. There's a pool with cool water and a very warm open air spa. The grounds themselves are lovely but the pool area needs some aesthetic tidying. The pools are clean and good - they just need their floors painted. They're also amongst what seems to be a semi abandoned construction area. But get past that superficial stuff, the pools are fine for purpose. A dawn spa was delightful. The grounds themselves seem to have 500 unfinished DIY projects on the go. The roads around the facility seem to have been through an artillery barrage so if you have a very low profile car, be wary. Despite the above we LOVED staying here. It was hot weather when we stayed and the room was very warm. In fact it could use a plug-in fan to circulate the air a bit. I totally recommend staying here and when I come back to Rotorua I'd definitely stay here again.

Liz and the whanau at sharks bay stay were so lovely, We arrived to a beautiful whare, clear easy instructions to get in & wow when you get inside. Absolutely stunning home and you can feel the warmth and love in the home. Liz was awesome, easy to contact and had everything we needed without me packing the kitchen sink, we made sure to utilise the beautiful backyard, spa and kids play area. The pushbikes and games and colouring ins kept everyone busy too. Beautiful area if you just want to relax and beach it with your whanau. This was a whanau trip for us so this whare was honestly perfect for us or your little family or big family. We look forward to our next trip down ! Cant thank Liz and whanau enough 🫶🏽 Great little week away from the North.
