Tamson’s place was perfect for our family (parents, with adult children, their partners, plus dogs). Beautiful big home with space and privacy for everyone. Areas to swim, walk, run or bike around different lakes, private spa to relax in afterwards. Close enough to Rotorua for shopping, but out in beautiful nature and so peaceful. Highly recommend Tamson’s place!

Stunning views and a beautiful property. Came with family for a little weekend holiday and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay. The house is so well laid out and designed, each bedroom has its own en suite and everyone had their own space to relax. While the weather was not as hot and sunny as we had hoped we still used the pool and spa and also enjoyed the game room. Great place to unwind and relax with family or friends!

This was a great place to crash for a week while we explored Whakatāne and Ohope. Easy, quick beach access. Close to a fun park and just up the road from a surfing spot. Close to hikes and a good market nearby. Good kitchen. Comfortable beds. Fun ping pong table and space to store our bikes.

We had a wonderful family getaway at Gail’s Bach! Unfortunately the Easter weekend weather did not cooperate and stormed most of our stay, but the design of the space meant we were able to enjoy quality time indoors without feeling too on top of each other. And we spent many hours playing games and completing a puzzle provided in the home! The dining space really makes the home complete, able to seat us all comfortably and with a gorgeous lake view. Super thankful to also have our jetski tied to the jetty spot below the house. The boat ramp is super close in the bay and easy to use which was lovely - for the brief periods of fine weather we could take it out! Great memories made, thank you so much.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect—close to great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We especially loved the cozy touches and thoughtful amenities that made it feel like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway!

beautiful modern home covered every basis with indoor movies/ games to keep kids entertained in the wet weather big spacious kitchen with every appliance needed. bathrooms were lovely and beds were comfortable. big back/front yard to hit the baseball or kick the soccer ball. very friendly neighbourhood- someone would always speak. will be back in the summer time
