Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

Guests will see deer roaming in the yard early morning and at night. This rental accommodates families traveling with children or the couple seeking a quiet retreat. Stay here while you visit family and friends in the area. It is a short drive to Vandalia, Louisiana, Hannibal or Mark Twain Lake. (40 Min). About one hour from St. Louis.

We chose calming colors to compliment the natural tones of the space, in a modern chic style. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Enjoy the view of horses grazing while sipping your morning coffee on the front porch. Drive to historic Hannibal, MO (11 miles). Book a guided farm tour with the owners and/or a riding lesson on one of their many rodeo horses. This house sleeps 6 with a king bed, queen bed, and couch fold-out queen bed. Need more room? Genevieve’s Federal House

This home is a fully restored 1 story Federal house, which you will have full access to. It is located close to the Mark Twain Boyhood Home, and right off Broadway. The house comes furnished with seating, furniture, and 2 Roku televisions. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, a dining room, living room, and a kitchen. The home has central air conditioning and heating, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a beautiful clawfoot cast-iron tub with shower. There is off street parking.
