The Potter’s Pad

The Potter’s Pad is a gorgeous, private tiny home in the foothills of Pirongia Mountain, with stunning countryside views in every direction The perfect place to experience off grid living but with all the luxuries. Beautifully furnished and full of unique handmade pottery, relax in our hammock chairs and soak up the sunset by the outdoor fire pit Talk to the horses while you listen to the nearby stream and birdlife instead of traffic, although only a two minute drive in to Pirongia Village

The school house

The School House is situated up a tree lined driveway, and offers peaceful, self catering accommodation for 1-3 people. It is an 5 minute drive (3km) from the centre of Te Awamutu. The school house is situated in a rural setting, with beautiful views of the garden and surrounding countryside. Built in the 1880's and operational as a school until 1939, it has a character and history that is unique. Surrounded by trees it has a host of native birds including Tui, Fantails and Kingfishers.

Self Contained Guest Unit

Very Central to do day trips to Rotorua, Taupo, Waitomo caves, Hobbiton. Tauranga . great views, awesome heat pump in the winter months and cool in the summer months, swimming pool and a very quiet neighbourhood. 10 minutes walk to town and 10 min drive to Golf course 15 minutes to Hamilton Airport 20 minutes to Mystery Creek (Field Days) 40 minutes to Waitomo Caves and the Hobbiton. 45 minutes to Raglan 1 hour to Rotorua 1 hour 15 minutes to Taupo 1 hour 30 minutes to Mount Maunganui

EV charging at own cost available. Our grownup family welcomes people from all backgrounds. It’s a 10 minute drive to Te Awamutu or 20 minutes to Hamilton. Handy to Hamilton Airport and Mystery Creek (20 minute drive) and attractions Hamilton Gardens and Waitomo Caves (30 minutes), and Hobbiton (1 hour)

Fleetwood Mack Housetruck in Pirongia

Stay in a Housetruck built from recycled/reused materials on the back of a Mack Truck. A Queen bed in the front loft and one single bed in the back. The Housetruck has basic kitchen facilities. Jug, toaster, fridge and microwave. A shower inside the truck, it runs from a califont so is set to one temperature using one tap. Please note that the toilet is located in a separate building about ten steps away along with the washing machine. You have unlimited private access to these.

Swings, maypole and trampoline for the kids. Pets to pat. Swimming pool available through the warmer months. The Black Barn is set amongst an open ground nursery and farmland. If you like plants and space, you will love this place!
