Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu-plenty of water here!

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Pod 2 (Quad) - Flat Hills Cafe & Tourist Park

Escape to the heart of Rangitīkei at Flat Hills Tourist Park. Set on 17 acres of countryside, our cosy pods offer a rural retreat with comfortable beds, TV, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, plus access to shared amenities, kitchen, lounge, BBQ area and hot showers. Meet friendly farm animals, explore the maze, enjoy the playground and café, or simply relax and take in the views. Conveniently located on SH1 between Wellington and Taupō. Please note currently the cafe is closed on Tuesdays.

Bellview Cottage Feilding

Come make yourselves at home at our fully self-contained freshly renovated cottage with beautiful views overlooking Feilding with private off-street parking in front of cottage. With everything you need provided to make yourselves breakfast. It's a 15min walk (3 minutes by car) to the centre of Feilding where the farmers markets are held on Fridays. 7-minute drive to Manfeild Park 16-minute drive from Palmerston North airport. There is additional parking if required (please advise if needed)

Moomaa Stay

Fully renovated in 2020 Cook a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on your choice of decks to soak up the rural or sea views. Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. Opened in 2022, DuxHouse BnB is conveniently located in Taihape's Motel District on SH1. We are centrally located in the beautiful Rangitikei in the Central North Island. Tongariro NP (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is just over 45 mins away. Perfect for hiking in summer, or snow fun in winter. Central towns, such as Whanganui and Palmerston North are just over an hour away. Further afield are Napier (2hrs), Taupo (2 hrs), and Wellington (3hrs) making Taihape the perfect central pitstop.

Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.

Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Our restored shearers quarters are modern, warm, bright and comfortable. Double glazed, fireplace, insulated, infinity gas and beautifully decorated. We have free Wifi. ChromeCast on the TV. Haven On Huia

This modern ground level, cosy & quiet apartment opens to a north facing Zen Garden soon to be completed by a local landscaper. The queen bed is noted as extremely comfortable with luxury cotton, wool & down linen with an electric blanket in winter. The sofa bed in the living space is available at an extra charge of $20 p.n. for linen for a second or third person. An additional fold up bed also available for $20 p.n.
