Or look for her new mobile shave ice cart around town!! Here you will find a gal who makes real shave ice with ice cream and yummy toppings. Try the coconut flavor with coconut bits, POG, and homemade snowcap!

Just about 20 minutes away from our home is Maupin, OR known for whitewater rafting on the Deschutes River. There are multiple guide outfits here to take you on a rafting adventure!

Sightseeing
Great viewpoint of an unexpected waterfall. Good picnic spot. If you are feeling adventurous there is a hike down to the river to a popular wading and swimming hole (use extreme caution). Be sure to check out the abandoned power station buildings. The hike back up can be challenging! Not recommended for small children or those with mobility issues. * Water flow will vary throughout seasons.

You will see several precarious fishing platforms along the river. If you cross the river you will be able to see rafters ride rapids and pull out above the falls.
