This is a really cool restaurant with a modern vibe. They have an all local- fresh, organic menu of salads, sliders, pizzas and filets. They have an extensive selection of gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options.

This is my favorite vineyard - just past Charlottesville, in an area that contains some of Americas oldest vineyards. It's about an hour and a half away. It's a nice drive for a day trip. $10 wine tastings

This vineyard is right on the James River and is about a 40 minute drive away. Its a great day trip - It's absolutely beautiful and the wine selection is excellent. They offer tastings for $10 per person. They also have special events and live music, so make sure to check out their website and calendar.
