Parks & Nature
This natural wilderness is only 10mins drive from our house. There are beautiful beaches in the park, you hire bicycles and ride around the park and you can also book a tour to look at park in more detail and see the many birds, wild boar and deer. Wonderful!

Historically a charming fishing village, Talamone stands in an imposing raised position overlooking the coast of Tuscany in western Italy.
The historic town is surrounded by medieval walls and dominated by a fortress built of gray stone. Talamone also has a small harbour, a beach and coastal cliffs and several other attractive beaches can be found close by - hence it is now a popular summer destination.

Fantastic Napelese style pizzas. Very good value for money. Sit outside on the terrace.

Eat, dance and be merry at these wonderful italian parties open to the public. Experience the real Italy when you participate in these wonderful open air food, wine and musical extravaganzas! Keep your eyes open for posters around the city. Also on the internet. My personal favourites are the sagra of the hilltop town Montepescali,(10mins by car) and Campagnatico. Bonus tip. These sagres are very reasonably priced. There is no entrance fee. You buy your food and wine and the entertainment is free. A great night out with family or friends. You'll notice that kids are welcome everywhere in Italy. Italians don't have a bedtime for kids. They stay up as late as the adults!!
