This is a cute and quaint little cinema which holds up to100 people. It is just as it was many years ago with its own history. The Palace put on a contemporary range of films and even have silent movies e.g. Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin with a brilliant pianist which adds to the atmosphere. We are lucky to have it in Harbour St and Broadstairs and the staff and treats available are fabulous too. Thank you for keeping it so lovely.

Viking Bay is a busy sandy beach with a jetty restaurant and several eateries, bars and gift shops surrounding it. It can get very busy with families and it has a sea pool which provides interesting entertainment for children to see the wonders of the tiny fishes in it. The smell of sea weed is intoxicating and the moored fishing boats is a reminder of British seaside escapism.

Margate was a popular seaside town especially in the 60's mod area. You'll see a lot of new shops have emerged especially in the Old Town with its cobbled ground. A lovely stretch of sandy beach and its quaint harbour. The Turner Contemporary is worthy of a visit as it overlooks the sea and great exhibits are on show. New restaurants, micro pubs and bars and relax anywhere in the square where the Margate museum is based.

This is so worth a visit. If you get the opportunity to have a cream tea and scones, do it. It's kept a lot of its original features and is a relaxed space to be in and usually you can find good company there for a chat.

A little walk to Stone Bay is our favourite for the beautiful seascape and to see the decorated beach huts along the prom. It's sandy as most of our beaches in Thanet and there are rocks avoidable at low tide but it's a lovely walk round and you can travel further along from the prom or the beach. If the tide is out you can walk back to Viking Bay, Louisa Bay, Ramsgate. In the other direction you can walk from the shore low tide to Joss Bay, Botany Bay and further along to Margate.

This is a great place to see especially as it's 104ft long and a Grade II listed building which opened to the public in 1838. No one knows who made it, why they did it or when! Its shell designs seem to display a wide range of different religious and pagan representations.

Ramsgate is just an hours walk along the beach (tide out) and or through Ellington park to the main Harbour. It has a busy high street but the harbour is very attractive during the day and it has a lovely sandy long stretch of beach.
