Neighbourhoods

This is the beach in front of the cottage just cross over the road and walk right for about 10 meters go down the little path till you get to the beach there is a crossing for the train (gated) so I would say children need to be accompanied a cross this Some stones and boulders depending on time of year as council do clear this Big wide beach dog friendly all year round. The sea can bring rocks in so at times there might be rocked to climb over to get on the beach not really accessible for everyone

Great place for a rainy day. Hard hat and torch provided. Steep steps going down into a series of caves. Dogs welcome. Granite and slate rock 500 million years old juxtaposed with shards of light from the surface creating a theatrical display of colour. Interesting information at each cave about how it was created and of the lives of those who worked there. Good views of the coast on a clear day from outside the cafe and shop

Portmeirion Village, I was lucky enough to go on a beautiful sunny day. So ice creams was a must ornate, architecture and unique that transports you to an idyllic setting that is part myth and the beauty of the place is that its on the Wales map. Takes around three hours to explore the village and shops, private beach and forest walks.

This place is just beautiful I’ve been many times and never walked the same path twice Set within Snowdonia National Park, Coed y Brenin Forest Park is one of Forestry Commission Wales' Premier recreation sites. If you fancy trying some exciting outdoor activities, Coed y Brenin Forest Park has everything from challenging orienteering routes and geocaching to world-class mountain biking trails. Alternatively if you need to unwind you can take one of the waymarked walks. Try either a gentle, all ability trail down to the river with the chance of seeing an elusive otter or go over the hill to the next valley to see the beautiful waterfalls and abandoned gold mine. Stop and have your lunch at one of the numerous picnic sites and enjoy the tranquillity of the River Eden or dramatic views of Cadair Idris. There is parking, toilets, and seating area for a picnic

The Panorama Walk is an excellent way to get views of the countryside, Idris Cader, the Mawddach estuary and the coastline a short walk. There is a small amount of parking for maybe 8 or so cars at the top of Panorama Road or you can easily walk to the trailhead from town. Paths are generally well marked and obvious and it's not too challenging if you can cope with a bit of steep climbing.
