Just along the estuary trail – catch the little steam railway to the headland and then the short hop on the water taxi to Barmouth for sandy beaches; crabbing; donkeys and of course ice cream and tasty fish and chips!

Lovely little miniature railway takes you to Fairbourne point. You can catch a ferry to Barmouth in season. There is a little cafe at the point. It runs 2 miles (3.2 km) from Fairbourne alongside the beach.

Great Little Railway With Friendly Staff. My young grandson loved it Good Connection To Barmouth Via The Ferry Or Just A Great Way To Spend A Day On The Wide, Fairbourne Beach. Fantastic Views Of The Welsh Mountains Well Worth A Visit. The ice cream shop round the corner is great too

One of the many steam train journeys in the area. This one is a narrow gauge with little carriages and a low ride. It travels along the coast from Fairbourne towards Barmouth stopping at the mouth of the estuary. It's an enjoyable ride, especially for young a young family as the journey is not too long.
