A favorite of Reno residents, it is at a high elevation which sometimes means it has better snow late in the season. I prefer Diamond Peak, but Rose is nice too.

A great downhill mountain bike ride starts here and finishes at the Tunnel Creek Cafe. There is a one way shuttle for under $20 that can return you to the meadows. It services this location every other day. Google Flume Trail Bike.

A very nice ski resort with a large village with lots of great restaurants and bars such as Micuni sushi and the Chocolate Bar.

Then you go to the beach kiosk to pay the daily fee ($15 for adults, $6 for kids 6-17, kids 5 and under free). This beach does not have pool, but it's better for wading in the lake in bare feet (Burnt Cedar Beach's wading area is rocky). Also, you can launch a boat here if you pay the $18 fee and get the inspection done offsite (google that, it's a bit of a pain but worth it if you have a boat).
