On 1.2 acres, bordering the Santa Fe National Forest, superb mountain retreat, 20 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza. Exceptional cabin perched on a hillside in glorious Pacheco Canyon. Imbued with nostalgic vintage finishes, filled with hand hewn and hand forged details, the atmosphere is enchanting. Main cabin graced with soaring ceilings and wood-burning stove and quaint kitchen. Add a seasonal stream, majestic canyon views, and access to the wilderness. Winter snow. 4X4 drive- winter must have.

Chameleon, Rustic Cabin, Unit 1 with private deck

Chameleon: 2 room cabin, NO running water and no toilet facilities in the casita, sleeps 4, 5 max. 2 double beds in the bedroom, & daybed for an extra person. Cooking Hot plate & electric appliances. Open deck on the Pecos River w/outdoor fireplace unless Fireban in place. Community bathhouse with toilets & showers, 300 feet from Chameleon. Other rentals on property, another rustic casita is in close proximity. Pergola screen is up. Road noise is heard, especially during peak travel times.

Come relax in our rustic adobe casita with sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains from the wrap-around portal. The semi-private casita sits on a hill overlooking our home, next to a weekday office building. Please note: accessing the casita requires hiking up a rugged path with steep steps and no rails—not suitable for those with mobility concerns. Only 24 minutes from Santa Fe, enjoy authentic country living in a rural setting while exploring all the wonders of Santa Fe!

Five miles east is the village of Pecos with the Pecos River for fishing, hiking, and exploring. Sixteen miles north is the legendary city of Santa Fe packed with world-class art and culture
