We went to York for a creative retreat and the house was the perfect backdrop for firing up creativity and imaginative whilst having lots of space to relax in the evenings. Everything was as listed, clean and homely, and any questions were answered promptly. We'd love to stay again!

Emma’s house had everything we needed for an enjoyable week stay. Comfortable bed and furniture and everything was very clean. The area was very quiet and just a short walk to the town centre and there was always plenty of parking in the street, the parking permit was a real bonus. Happy to recommend Emma’s place and would stay again.

All I can say is Wow! Victor has been an incredible host when we have had to leave our property due to a leak. Extremely attentive, checked in with us to make sure everything was okay, and brought us fresh bedding after the first week. The house looks exactly like the photos, lovely and clean. Felt like a home away from home! Victor was very speedy with his responses too. Thank you so much for making a very stressful time, a lot more tolerable.

What can I say…. Other than what a beautiful lovely little gem of a place this is to stay at. It was exactly what we needed for the situation we were in. Everything was beautifully presented and perfectly fitting for a quiet little retreat. The surrounding area is gorgeous and the place itself so quiet and tranquil. I can’t thank the hosts anymore for providing such a great little place to stay, and at a fantastic value for money!

Thank you for another excellent stay. This time we got to benefit from the coastal walks and open space straight out the back gate. Julie was a great help when my lad accidentally set off the house alarm. Within 15 minutes the alarm stopped and our day was saved as we had tickets booked! Brilliant hosting and was attentive that all our expectations were met through the break. Highly recommended and will come again if Julie will have us 🙂

Couldn’t have had a better last minute, bank holiday stay! Such a hidden gem that everyone needs to experience if you want to shut off and chill out for a few days, so peaceful and has everything that anyone could need. Barry couldn’t have been a better host if he tried, thank you so much for accommodating our last minute booking 🌟 As much as the location is private and quiet the local shops and takeaway is only about 10 mins drive away The garden area was very clean and equipped, the hot tub was fab and stayed hot once heated for a good few hours before needing the fire topped up. We’re already planning our next stay, thanks again If you’re thinking of booking - Do It!

We really enjoyed our stay in York. Andrew’s place was perfect and extremely walkable to the city. We appreciated the parking spot. I would recommend anyone to stay here while visiting York!

Had a fantastic stay for our first time in York…the apartment was so close to walk into York yet still was peaceful, quiet and a joy to return back to after venturing around and about! It had everything we could need for a perfect stay! We will definitely try to book it again for a returning visit to York!

I highly recommend staying at Anna’s place. Everything was clean and tidy and all the amenities we needed were provided. Anna was very helpful in providing instructions with check in and information about where we could park. The breakfast products were also a lovely personal touch.

The accomodation was immaculate. Couldnt be in a better location for walking into York...part of the city wall walk just outside apartmemts. Decorated for xmas which was a lovely touch. Cosy and warm... Excellent communication. Would definatly recommend .

I can honestly say this is the best air bnb I have stayed in. It is beautifully appointed with everything you could need. The hosts have thought of every detail to make your stay perfect - we couldn't have wished for more.

Fantastic place to stay, very central, extremely clean and well equipped. Host was very communicative even giving us a location of a super market we could stop at on our way so we weren’t hunting for one. Felt very welcome and would definitely recommend this host if you are heading to York.

Great stay once again! Lovely hosts, very easy check in, this place is perfect for our family… spacious, clean and lovely little garden area! Pool table is a brilliant treat!!

Great place to stay, Sarah and Paul were both very friendly. The space was clean and tidy, there is a private garden to sit in and Sherwood forest is only 15 minutes walk away. There are good local amenities and there is off road parking.

Clean, convenient, and as described — a good stay overall.

This place really exceeded my expectations! It was EXACTLY like the pictures and there was so much communication from Chris - a really professional, secure and easy experience. I stayed as a solo woman and felt very safe. PROS: The place was spotless and had every amenity you could want. Location was great and checking in was very easy too. An unbeatable price for the location and the quality. The owner had thought of things lots of homestay hosts don't - there’s LOADS of storage and lined bins in every room, there was baking paper (!), the fact you can open all the windows so wide was amazing, the fireplace was gorgeous, and having a washing machine with a clothes airer was a total game changer. Cons - My only minor negative was there was quite a strong drainage / stale water smell in the bathroom but I kept the door closed and it was fine, I imagine that’s related to the building and likely unavoidable but it’s quite potent at times. Also I would have loved a shelf in the shower!

Beryl was a wonderful host! We stayed for 1 night as a quick stopover on a long journey and Beryl was very accommodating. Even though we booked with very short notice the space was immaculate so we could tell Beryl had very high standards. Everything was spotlessly clean and as described. We had a great nights sleep and the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Even though we didn’t have the opportunity to use it due to our fleeting visit, the patio seating area was really nice and no doubt a great place to enjoy the countryside air. I would highly recommend Beryl’s place.

We had a lovely stay here and loved the accommodation. Wonderful views of the minster too! 🤩 Our hosts were really good at communicating with us too and answered any questions we had promptly.
